The Gastronomic Restaurant at Fortaleza do Guincho was opened in 1998 when acclaimed French Chef Antoine Westermann introduced the haute cuisine restaurant, quickly becoming renowned in Portugal. In 2001 the restaurant received a Michelin star, held still until this day.
Originally serving a classic French fare, Portuguese products and traditions have been gaining more and more prominence in Fortaleza do Guincho. Boasting a host of tantalising dishes, this fantastic restaurant offers guests the best fish and seafood from the Portuguese coast as well as the highest quality of local and national products.
Bar & Terrace
Perfect for a light snack or refreshing drink amongst an unbeatable backdrop, the Bar & Terrace serves its guests a selection of sandwiches, salads and the Chef’s daily suggestion. Make sure to indulge in a draft beer or glass of wine while you gaze at the lapping waves of the ocean. During winter there is nothing like staying in the comfort of the "Sala das Damas" or library lounge with views of the sea.
