Quinta Do Lorde 5* consists of 5 individual buildings, connected by landscaped areas. The principal building forms the resort's central plaza and in the 4 remaining buildings, there are 143 rooms, ample leisure areas and swimming pools with terraces and bars.
After exploring Funchal city, located a 30-minute drive away, guests can return to their accommodation and enjoy relaxation at the wellness area, a game of tennis or football on the multi-use sports field or a session at the gym.

This is probably the most popular excursion on the Island. During this trip, you will visit Ca de Lobos & Ribeira Brava. Then, travel up through a lush valley region to the mountain pass of Encumeada at 1007 m, with a wonderful view over the north and the south coast. Next, descend to the north coast till Porto Moniz, famed for its volcanic rock swimming pools, passing through São Vicente & Seixal. Stop for lunch. From this pretty village, climb the mountains to Paúl da Serra and descend to the south-west coast till Calheta & Ponta do Sol. Finally, head to the Cabo Girão (the 2nd highest sea climb in the world).
FULL DAY EXCURSION IN SANTANA
What a glorious day out this is, with so many delights to see. Pico do Arieiro, which at 1810 metres is breathtaking, Ribeiro Frio, and the noted trout hatchery, and Santana, home to the ‘A’ framed cottages. Later. follow the stunning north coast, visiting Porto da Cruz, Portela and its dramatic mountain views, Machico, where the adventurers first landed, and finally Camacha, home to the famous wickerwork warehouse. HALF DAY WALKING TOUR IN MAROÇOS
Enjoy a relaxing Levada Walk between mountains and valley’s on the area of Machico, where the contrast of the natural vegetation and the terraces producing different vegetables and fruits, along with the thousands of different flowers are going to enchant you. This walk starts in Maroços and ends in Ribeira Seca. Notes:- Duration: 2h30 - Difficulty: Easy/Moderate - Distance: 9km - Days: Tuesday Morning or Thursday afternoon

All year round, this is a superb walk, with a sun-blessed aspect, through a landscape rich in cultivation. This walk starts just after Cabo Girão, passing through the valley of Quinta Grande and Campanario. The houses are festooned with dahlias and the aroma of wood fires is in the air. Along this Levada, you will see beautiful landscapes such as cultivation terraces, quaint houses, and charming gardens. Notes: Duration: 2h30 - Difficulty: Easy - Distance: 7km - Days: Friday morning

HALF DAY TOUR IN EIRA DO SERRADO / MONTE
This excursion calls first at Pico dos Barcelos, which enjoys superb views of Funchal; before winding its way up the mountain to the viewpoint of Eira do Serrado. With a superb view over the village of Curral das Freiras. From here you will travel through the hills to Monte, the delightful picturesque hamlet situated above Funchal, famed for its beautiful Church, pretty public gardens & the Toboggan run, those who wish may be whisked down the 2 km run in the unique & infamous form of transport. Rounding off this delightful excursion with a visit to a local embroidery producer and where there will be time for a little wine taste. Notes:- Cost of toboggan not included
