Your guide has lived in Norway for many years and will guide you in a discovery of the North of Norway and inform you about life in this fascinating and beautiful country. Tromsø is the capital of the Arctic and the 8th largest city in Norway. It is the northernmost student city in the world and is often referred to as the "Paris of the North". Tromsø is also a strategic location for viewing the Northern Lights.
8pm - Light buffet dinner at your hotel restaurant.

Day 2: Dog-sledding and Northern Lights
Begin a thrilling day of adventure with a hearty breakfast and sample tasty Scandinavian treats at the hotel buffet.
Today is your dog-sledding excursion! Depart by bus (25 minutes) with a guide towards Villmarkssenter. Upon arrival, you will be given cold weather suits, boots, gloves, hoods and glasses. Meet the gang! The huskies are ready to show you the beautiful landscapes surrounding their kennel. You will be in teams of two per sled and will have the opportunity to alternate between driving and sitting during the excursion, which will last about 1 hour. If the trail is frozen, you will automatically be seated in pairs in a sled driven by a professional musher for safety reasons.
Please note: for safety reasons, children under 16 years old will be seated with an adult in a sled driven by a musher (2 people per sled).
A typical hot meal in the form of meat and vegetable stew is served for lunch, followed by a good home-made chocolate cake with coffee and tea, will be served in a traditional Sami "lavvu" tent. You will return to Tromsø in the early afternoon to spend some time at your leisure exploring the city. We recommend a stop at Mack's Brewery, which is one of the northernmost breweries in the world, or the Polaria Museum, where you can watch the feeding of the seals at 3:30 pm.
6pm - Light buffet dinner at your hotel restaurant.
7:30 pm - After dinner at the hotel, meet your coach and guide for a Northern Lights hunt! You will go in search of the best spot to see the Northern Lights. Once you find the place, you will explore the surrounding area. Your guide will be there to give you tips on how to get the best shots with your own camera (tripods can be borrowed). The tour lasts approximately 6 hours.
Please note: This tour may be cancelled in case of bad weather. Not suitable for children under 10 years old due to low temperatures.
