You'll have a meet and greet service at the airport where you'll be escorted to the car hire kiosk to fill our your car rental documents. A representative will be on-hand to answer any questions about your itinerary, and offer advice.

You'll also be given your travel planner which includes 24-hour assistance information, maps, a Sense of Africa Namibia VIP card, and a pre-paid SIM card.

Overnight at The Elegant Guesthouse (or similar).

DAY 2: WINDHOEK / ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the hotel. Then take the road to Etosha National Park (approximately 530 kilometres). Along the way, admire the unique landscapes.

Overnight at Onguma Bush Camp (or similar).

Day 3 & 4: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfasts at the hotel. Each day, enjoy full-day game drives in the National Park.

In the vast arid space of Northern Namibia, this park is one of Southern Africa’s best loved wildlife sanctuaries. The Etosha National Park offers excellent game viewing in one of Africa’s most accessible venues. Zebra and springbok are scattered across the endless horizon, while the many waterholes attract endangered black rhinoceros, lion, elephant and large numbers of antelope.

Dinners (excluding drinks) and overnight at Etosha Village (or similar).

Day 5: Etosha National Park / Damaraland

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue to Damarland. Huge, unspoiled and wildly beautiful, Damaraland is an exceptional landscape of open plains and spectacular rock formations. The main attractions are Spitzkoppe, Brandberg, Twyfelfontein, Vingerklip and the Petrified Forest.

Dinner (excluding drinks) and overnight at Vingerklip Lodge (or similar).

Day 6: DAMARALAND / SWAKOPMUND

Breakfast at the hotel. Go for an optional visit to the Petrified Forest, Twyfelfontein and the village of Damara.

Then take the road to the Swakopmund region (approximately 380 kilometres). With its palm-lined streets, seaside walks and quality accommodation, Swakopmund is Namibia's most popular holiday destination.

Overnight at Swakopmuind Sands (or similar).

DAY 7: SWAKOPMUND

Overnight at Swakopmuind Sands (or similar).

Day 8: Swakopmund / Namib Desert

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for the heart of the Namib Desert (approximately 370 kilometres).

The Namib is the oldest desert in the world. The landscape is remarkably varied, famed for its giant red dunes in Sossusvlei. The desert is home to Welwitschia, a living fossil plant, endemic chameleons, fur seals along the coast, brown hyenas, jackals and, remarkably, one of Africa's largest antelopes, the Gemsbok. The name Namib is of Nama origin and means 'vast place.'

Overnight at The Elegant Desert Lodge (or similar).

DAY 9: NAMIB DESERT

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today, take a tour of Sossusvlei, the surreal Dead Vlei, and Sesriem Canyon. Don't forget your camera!

DAY 10: NAMIB DESERT / KALAHARI DESERT

Breakfast at the hotel. Cross the savannah south to reach your lodge in the Kalahari Desert (approximately 310 kilometres). The Kalahari is a living desert of exceptional beauty. The sands are typically red, covered in fine, wispy grass, mostly golden, and dotted with acacia trees and a variety of wildlife including gemsboks, impalas, jackals and cheetahs.

Go for an optional nature tour in the Kalahari Desert for an even more enriching day.

Dinner (excluding drinks) and overnight at Camelthorn Lodge (or similar).

Your Destination

Namibia

Located in southwestern Africa, Namibia boasts a well-developed infrastructure, some of the best tourist facilities in Africa, and an impressive list of breathtaking natural wonders. Visitors can explore the capital of Windhoek and discover the lovely coastal town of Swakopmund boasting remnants of the country’s German influence, reflected in the architecture, culture, cuisine and the annual Oktoberfest celebrations.

To properly appreciate this extraordinary country, you will have to venture out of the cities to explore the remarkable natural landscapes Namibia has to offer. These include: the impressive Fish River Canyon; the vast Etosha National Park teeming with abundant wildlife, such as lions, desert-adapted elephants and the Hartmann's Mountain Zebra; the hauntingly beautiful Kalahari Desert; and of course the Namib Desert stretching for over 2000 km along the magnificent Atlantic Coast. Namibia is an ideal destination for travellers seeking an unforgettable African experience in a uniquely beautiful untamed wilderness.
