Your Destination —
Visitors of this intoxicating place can also enjoy the largest souk (market place) in Morocco - this really is an experience that needs to be seen to be believed, with hundreds of small stalls selling all manner of objects, from the freshest foods, to beautiful boutiques offering lovely fabrics, pots, and decorations.
The obvious place to start is the Jemaa El Fna Square with its lively and exotic atmosphere packed with stalls, street cafes and even snake charmers! At night the square is lit and the smell of spices wafting through the streets is an experience not to be missed.
A day trip to the nearby Atlas Mountains gives you the ability to leave the full-on nature of the city and escape into the blissful scenery of the picturesque mountains.
This rocky, wadi-shaped desert offers an unexpected view and is located just some twenty-five kilometres away from Marrakesh. A mineral and undulating universe that some people qualify as lunar, rarely disturbed by an occasional goat crossing which brings life to this arid land.
