Your Itinerary —
Please note: The itinerary is subject to the weather conditions and can be changed.
You will be transferred from the Tivat airport to the harbour, where embarkation begins at 17:00. Get settled in your cabin before enjoying a welcome drink. Dinner will be onboard the cruise for the first night. Overnight at dock.
With bobbing superyachts, a posh promenade and rows of elegant edifices, visitors to Tivat could be forgiven for wondering if they're in Monaco or Montenegro. This previously mediocre seaside town has undergone a major makeover – courtesy of the multimillion-dollar redevelopment of its old naval base into a first-class marina. The town has a reputation as being one of the sunniest spots in Boka Kotorska. While Tivat will never rival Kotor for charm, it makes a pleasant stop on a trip around the bay and is a useful base for exploring the sweet villages of the Vrmac and Luštica Peninsulas.
Your first visit will be the Maritime Heritage Museum, fascinating from a historical point of view regarding Tivat and the early navy days. Sail into magnificent Boka Bay, and we stop for lunch and swimming in Ljuta Bay. You will arrive early in the port of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces and pillories. It’s a unique place to see for the position and history. Enjoy dinner on your own at one of the many restaurants present in Kotor. Overnight at dock/anchor, depending on availability.
Kotor is a Unesco Heritage site, wedged between brooding mountains and the corner of the bay. Hemmed in by staunch walls snaking improbably up the surrounding slopes, the town is a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces and pillories. It’s a dramatic and delightful place where the past coexists with the present; its cobblestones ring with the sound of children racing to school in centuries-old buildings, lines of laundry flutter from wrought-iron balconies, and hundreds of cats – the descendants of seafaring felines – loll in marble laneways. Come nightfall, Kotor's spectacularly lit-up walls glow as serenely as a halo; behind the bulwarks, the streets buzz with bars and live music – from soul to serenades – and castle-top clubbing.
No matter whether you enter Boka by land or by the sea - your experience will be the same - Boka will fascinate you! It looks as if the mountains have cracked and let the sea in. This is the southernmost fjord in Europe. The high mountains bend over the thin coastline thus protecting it from the severe climate of the north. That is why Boka is an oasis of Mediterranean vegetation: agave, palm, mimosa, oleander, kiwi, pomegranate, medicinal herbs. When its peaks are covered with snow, the roses bloom in the foothills. The bay is naturally divided into four smaller parts - Herceg Novi bay, Risan bay, Kotor bay and Tivat bay. The small towns, as treasures of history, art and beauty, are strung like pearls on its coastline.
After breakfast, you will have a city guided tour of the Old Town of Kotor. Sail out of the bay in the south direction. Refresh yourself swimming in Dobra Luka Bayand enjoy lunch onboard. Before arriving in Budva, you will stop at the famous sandy beach Jaz. You will have the rest of part of the day to explore Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast, over 2,500 years old. Here are the most beautiful Christian settlements and definitely the most amazing churches in this part of Europe. Dinner out and overnight at anchor in Budva.
Budva is the poster child of Montenegrin tourism. Easily the country’s most-visited destination, it attracts hordes of holidaymakers intent on exploring its atmospheric Stari Grad (Old Town), sunning themselves on the bonny beaches of the Budva Riviera and partying until dawn; with scores of buzzy bars and clanging clubs, it’s not nicknamed ‘the Montenegrin Miami’ for nothing!
After breakfast, set sail for Bar and stop for lunch in front of Sveti Stefan, a fortified island village. In the past was a favourite hangout of 60’s film stars and royalty like Sophia Loren, Doris Day and Princess Margaret. Before arriving in Bar, stop for afternoon swimming in Maljevik Bay, a small quiet bay. Your evening is free to explore Bar on your own. Overnight at dock.
A fortified island village connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway, Sveti Stefan's photogenic jumble of 15th-century stone villas overlook an impeccable pink-sand beach and tempting turquoise waters. Sveti Stefan has unsurprisingly been named as Montenegro’s most photographed site!
Today, before you leave Bar, enjoy a guided tour of Stari Bar, an old fortified town in the hinterland of today’s city of Bar. In the centuries had been its centre, until the city moved down, into the field towards the sea. Today the Old fortress is abandoned and is in ruins. Here you can find many interesting souvenirs shops. The ship will then turn compass back north with a stop for lunch and swimming in front of Petrovac, in Lucice Bay, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches. Before arriving in Bigova, a fisherman village, make one more stop for swimming in Traste Bay. Enjoy dinner on your own. Overnight at dock/anchor depending on availability.
After breakfast, sail out and enjoy lunch onboard in Mirista Bay. Before arriving in Herceg Novi, stop for swimming in Njvice. Take time out to discover Herceg Novi, far from the madding crowds. Stroll through the empty streets, explore the old buildings and churches, check out the fortress Forte Mare and enjoy the atmosphere and the history. Enjoy dinner on your own. Overnight at dock/anchor, depending on availability.
Standing at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor like an eager host, Herceg Novi welcomes visitors with bright bouquets, sparkling seas and almost-constant sunshine. Can’t find the party? Look down; it’s all happening in Stari Grad (the Old Town), a few dozen wonky steps below the main street. Though its shiny squares, elegant churches and formidable fortresses are centuries old, they're brought to life by the buzz of clattering cafes and the sound of pianos drifting from the windows of music schools. Further down, pebbly beaches and concrete terraces offer access to the bay’s best – and cleanest – swimming. Follow the pedestrian-only promenade and you’ll hit Igalo, famed for its therapeutic mud!
For your last day, you sail into Boka Bay and stop in Risan Bay for lunch onboard. Risan is famous for the remnants of classical culture. You can’t miss to visit St. Nikola church in Perast and admire a stunning view from the top. Observe the small but beautiful exposition of the Perast museum, in Bujovic Palace. Sail out in the direction to Tivat, in front of the island St Marco. Tonight, enjoy captain’s dinner onboard. Overnight at anchor in front of Tivat.
Perast is the homeland of many world-known sailors and a town whose destiny has always been related to the sea. In the past, it resembled Venice with which it had very lively trade and cultural links. There are a lot of remains of the old aristocratic palaces that now bear witness to its ancient splendour and richness. In one of them, the Bujevic’s palace, the Town Museum is located. There is a very interesting historical story that says the Russian soldiers used to come in Perast to learn sailing skills and that it was known as a cradle of the Russian fleet. There are two islets around Perast town – the Lady of the Rocks and Saint George Island, both unique tourist attractions. Risan is famous for the remnants of the classical culture. The remains of a Roman patrician’s villa with mosaic floors as beautiful as those made in Roman period can be found here.
Day 8: Tivat - Porto Montenegro
Enjoy breakfast on board and check-out at 09:00. Then transfer to Tivat airport for your journey home.

The architecture, painstakingly restored after a devastating 1979 earthquake, is in the Roman style of the Venetian Republic, and encompasses the honey-coloured Church of St Ivan and its Gothic bell tower.
