Feast on international cuisine and local Mauritian meals at the On the Rocks venue, a restored 18th-century Gunpowder Room. It’s located under a traditional thatched roof with awe-inspiring views across the Indian Ocean. There is also a bar, which is ideal for unwinding with a nightcap or aperitif. Alternatively, you can find the perfect romantic setting with private dining on the sands of Turtle Bay served by a private butler. All sort of vibrant flavours can be served, with Creole dishes or international cuisine.

The main freshwater pool is an inviting haven along with the spa, which is located in the heart of the hotel's gardens. The Oberoi Spa allows you to relax with holistic healing, relaxation, rejuvenation and well-being treatments. A range of treatments are available, from full body massages to sensory experiences for body, face, hands, feet or hair. Swimming with Dolphins

Experience a first-hand encounter with some of the islands more common dolphin species, including the Bottlenose Dolphin and the Spinner Dolphin. Swim alongside the majestic and adorable aquatic mammals, and learn about their natural habitat on the coast of Mauritius.

Your day will begin with a shopping session in the factory outlets of Floréal and Curepipe where you may be tempted by a jewel at the diamond cutting factory, Adamas. After a stop at the crater of Trou aux Cerfs where you will enjoy a panoramic view of all Mauritius, you will arrive at the mystical lake of Grand Bassin, the place of the Hindu Mauritian pilgrimage. You will then admire the unique site of the Gorges de la Rivière Noire with abundant endemic flora which is home to many rare monkeys and birds such as Straw Tail, Cateau Verte or Kestrel.

Then enjoy lunch at the restaurant  Rhumerie de Chamarel, followed by a rum tasting. Continue exploring the land of the seven colours and waterfalls of Chamarel and finally finish exploring one of the most beautiful forests endemic to Mauritius. 

Catamaran Cruise to Benitiers Island

Sail aboard a catamaran from Black River on the west coast to Tamarin Bay where you may be able to see the dolphins in their natural environment! These charming mammals, who often appear in pods, promise you a wonderful aquatic ballet. 

The cruise will continue to the beautiful turquoise lagoon of Le Morne. Equipped with a mask, a snorkel and fins, provided on board, you will discover the underwater flora and fauna of this region. 

The crew will concoct tasty grilled dishes, accompanied by salads, which you will taste in front of the Benitier, this strange shell carved by erosion and delicately placed on the sea. The drinks will be served at will.

Travel the island at your own pace by booking a chauffeur-driven car. The driver comes to the hotel, picks you up and then you can define your itinerary for the day. You have two options: Choose an 8 hrs (1 day) option or 2 times 8 hrs (2 days) during the stay. 

The Charms of the North

Travel along the north coast, known for its golden sandy beaches and lagoons with turquoise waters. Visit the aquarium of Mauritius at Pointe aux Piments.

Then head for Port-Louis, the capital, with a stop at the Caudan Waterfront for a shopping session and for the visit of the Blue Penny Museum, whose stamp collections are internationally recognised. You can also discover the historic buildings of Port-Louis, its typical market and busy streets. 

After lunch, head to the 260-year-old Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden, a beautiful haven of peace with no less than 500 different species of native tropical plants, including the famous giant water lilies and tallipots.

Day on L’Ile Plate

You can choose between boarding a catamaran for L’Ile Plate from the Sunset Boulevard Pier in Grand Bay or taking the ultimate helicopter experience. The island, uninhabited and still wild, is dominated by a traditional lighthouse and is renowned for its dazzling white sand and its many birds, including the straw-tail, emblem of the national airline. 

Here, you can swim, explore the underwater world, laze on the beach or climb up to the lighthouse from which you will have a breathtaking view of the five northern islands. Then you have the chance to enjoy a seafood grill lunch served in the unspoilt setting of the ruins of the Governor's House. The afternoon will be spent relaxing.

Catamaran Cruise to Île aux Cerfs

Prepare your beach towels, sunscreen and sunglasses, as we invite you to take a catamaran cruise to Île aux Cerfs! This uninhabited islet is famous for its beautiful white sand beaches, a pearl of the Mauritian landscape. To begin the adventure, you will embark on a visit to the small fishing village of Trou d'Eau Douce, discovering from the most beautiful lagoon of the island to the mouth of the Grande Rivière Sud-Est to admire its splendid waterfall. 

Equipped with a mask, a snorkel and fins, you will have the opportunity to explore the seabed of the lagoon before heading to Île aux Cerfs. The skippers will cook grilled meats accompanied with salads served on board (unlimited drinks). You will then have time on the island to enjoy its beaches before heading back to the mainland.

From the tea plantation to your cup, this infusion has gone through several manufacturing processes that we invite you to observe during a visit to the Bois Cheri factory. So that this infusion has no more secrets from you, a visit to the tea museum is also planned. You can then taste the tea and different flavours such as vanilla, lemongrass, bergamot, coconut or some tropical fruits while enjoying the panoramic view of the south of the island. 

Then head to the banana factory where you can understand how all the components of the fruit are used, from the banana to leaves. You will then spend a pleasant moment in Saint Aubin, a colonial house from 1819 where you will enjoy a typical Mauritian meal. 

After lunch, you will discover the greenhouses of vanilla and anthuriums as well as the Maison du Rhum and its artisanal distillery. On the way to the south coast, you will stop at Gris-Gris which offers an interesting point of view to observe the steep cliffs where the waves crash. 

You will continue your day by visiting the La Vanille Reserve Mascareignes zoo, located in a dense tropical forest and composed of giant bamboos. In this environment, caimans, Nile crocodiles, iguanas, wild boars, geckos, Japanese carps, monkeys and giant tortoises are waiting for you to discover. Its insectarium, the only one in the Indian Ocean, is home to more than 23,000 species of insects and butterflies.
