6-Day/5-Night Tour of Malta
Day 1: ARRIVAL IN MALTA
Flight to Valletta. On arrival, pick up your rental vehicle and drive to your hotel in Malta, where you’ll stay for five nights. Night at the hotel.
Day 2: LA VALLETTE - SAN ANTON
Suggested visits: Valletta, capital of the island, Upper Barracca gardens offering an exceptional panorama of the port and the Three Cities, the Palace of the Grand Masters, St John's Cathedral, a true masterpiece of the baroque art, the National Archaeological Museum and the Manoel Theatre. End your day on a high note by exploring the San Anton Botanical Gardens.

Day 3 - MDINA - RABAT - MOSTA - DINGLI CAVES - TA'QALI
Free day. Suggested visits: Mdina, ancient capital located in the heart of the island, perched on a rocky outcrop and surrounded by ramparts. Mdina’s narrow streets are lined with beautiful patrician residences, Baroque churches, convents and palaces.
Visit the catacombs and St Paul’s Cave in Rabat, where the apostle is said to have preached the gospel, and the neoclassical church of Mosta, dominated by an impressive 66m high dome.
Explore the Dingli Cliffs, and the village of Ta'Qali where artisans reveal the secrets of their work. Night at the hotel.
Day 4 - MARSAXLOKK - BLUE GROTTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Suggested visits: the south of the island to see the brightly painted boats or ‘luzzu' in the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, with an eye painted on the bow for luck. Visit Mamo Tower in Marsaskala, the megalithic temples in Tarxien constituting the largest prehistoric site in Malta, the Blue Grotto. Night at the hotel.
Day 5 - MALTA - GOZO - MALTA
In the morning, drive to Cirkewwa in the north of the island, and head to the port of Mgarr on the island of Gozo (25-minute ferry crossing).
Suggested vsiits in Gozo: the capital Victoria with its citadel, the two megalithic temples of Ggantija, Xlendi Bay.
Return to Malta at the end of the afternoon, overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 - MALTA - DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel. Return your vehicle at Malta Airport and board your return flight.

Malta Under the Stars (evening)
This night tour begins with a visit to Vittoriosa, from where you can admire the beautiful lights of the Grand Harbor at night. The guide will lead you through the streets of the city and the waterfront, where the Knights of Malta settled in 1530.
Tour the fortifications of Valletta, capital of Malta, built after the Great Siege of 1565, before heading to Mdina, located in the centre of the island.
The highlight of the visit is a walk around the city, the former capital, illuminated by street lights and the stars, in a setting where time seems to have stood still. From the ramparts of Mdina, you will be able to admire almost half of the island.
Please note: this tour is available on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Port Tour by Boat (afternoon)
This cruise will introduce you to the beauty of Valletta's two natural harbours, Marsamxett and the Grand Harbour, which have played an important role in the history of Malta.
Seen from the sea, Valletta appears in all its grandeur, offering photographers an ideal photo opportunity. After the cruise, you'll have time to stroll along Sliema's main shopping area, where you can also relax in one of the many cafés. The return transfer from Sliema is at 6 p.m.
Marsaxlokk (morning/half day)
The idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk, with its colourful luzzus trees, provides a gorgeous setting for the local market. It’s the perfect place to spend a Sunday morning, where you can mingle with the locals. You may also choose to visit to the Blue Grotto and the neighbouring caves (not included in the price, depending on weather conditions).
Admire the full expanse of the Mediterranean and the islet of Filfla. Later, our guide will help you explore one of Malta's unspoiled villages. From the main square, in the centre of the village with its parish church and the local brass band, you'll be guided through a maze of winding streets which all have a story to tell.

Sunset Cruise to Comino (afternoon/half day)
Take a sunset cruise to Comino for great views, and a late lunch with open bar (excluding spirits).

Discover Gozo by Tuk-tuk (day with lunch)
The excursion with an audio guide in English is included. Sit aboard the tuk-tuk (6 seats each) for a whole day dedicated to discovering the most emblematic sites on the island and the most breathtaking views!
During your ride, take advantage of free wifi access on board. Lunch is offered at a local restaurant before taking a boat ride to the Blue Lagoon. In good weather, guests are invited to swim.

The home of the Marquis de Piro is a splendid sixteenth-century property with gorgeous furnishings.
From the chapel to the Chinese bedroom, through to the library, the winter dining room or the bombing shelters set up during the Second World War, it is truly an impressive property and exemplifies changing European tastes throughout the centuries. The visit in English lasts about an hour and is conducted by the current owner of the property, ending with a glass of champagne.
