Car Rental Information:

Driver Age:

Driver age restrictions: minimum 21 years old, maximum 75 years old

Young drivers: drivers under the age of 25 pay a surcharge of €11.80 including VAT per day

Seniors: Drivers over 71 years old pay a surcharge of € 11.80 including VAT per day.

Driving license:

All drivers must hold a valid international or national driver's license. Guests must have held a driver's license for at least one year. If a customer reports to the rental office without the required documents mentioned above, the reservation will be canceled. In this case, there will be no refund.

Additional Driver:

Each rental with Green Motion Malta entitles one driver. If the customer requires an additional driver, an additional surcharge will apply and the additional driver must be indicated on the rental agreement. The additional driver must be at least 21 years old (youth driver fee applies) and have a valid driver's license valid for at least one year.

The additional driver must meet the terms of the rental agreement. The main driver is responsible for all damage, loss, theft and accidents when the rented vehicle is driven by an additional driver. If the additional driver does not have a valid driver's license and is not over 21 years of age, the coverage of the rental agreement is void and the main driver is responsible for all damage to or theft of the rented vehicle, liability and medical expenses for the rented vehicle. An additional driver is available at an additional cost of €5.00 including VAT per day.

Insurance:
Rental rates include unlimited passenger mileage, property damage up to €234,000 per claim, third-party liability, loss against fire or theft, damage to vehicles involved in the collision. None of the insurance policies cover damage to tires, keys, mirrors, windows and roofs.

Excess and deposit:
The deductible offered with car rental is always the basic insurance. The customer can choose to reduce the deductible in case of damage and/or loss of the car in possession. An amount of €1200 to €1600 must be blocked as a deposit on the driver's credit card when picking up the car.

Notification of traffic accident:
After a traffic accident or damage to the vehicle, however minor, the driver must contact us as soon as possible, regardless of who was at fault or what caused the accident. Our staff will assist and advise him/her on the necessary procedure for legal and insurance requirements. The driver must complete a police (or highway police) report and then go to our nearest office to open an insurance claim file and complete other required formalities. Payment of the applicable deductible, claims handling fee (see below), or repair fee (depending on the circumstances) will be required immediately. If the necessary formalities (report, insurance claim, etc.) are not initially completed, insurance coverage may be automatically canceled, making the driver responsible for all repair costs to the rental car and third parties, including loss of the vehicle during repair.

Compensation for handling an insurance claim:
In the event of an accident requiring an insurance claim to be filed to cover the necessary repairs, the driver must pay an administration fee of €64.90 including VAT to cover the company's administrative costs for filing such a claim and the related formalities. This fee is payable in all cases where a claim must be filed, regardless of whether insurance has been taken out.

Additional driver insurance:
This insurance is available as an option at a daily rate to cover more than one driver for the rented vehicle during the rental period. All additional drivers must present their driver's license at the time of rental to be insured.

Special equipment/optional extras:
Baby seat: €8.26/day - incl. VAT Booster seat: €8.26/day - incl. VAT Child seat: €8.26/day - incl. VAT Child seats, baby seats and booster seats can be rented per day. Customers are reminded that our staff will not put child seats in the car for them.

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.
