Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort offers many opportunities to experience the unique natural wonders of Borneo, including a Nature Reserve with an orangutan rehabilitation centre - the only one of its kind in the region.
The reserve was established in collaboration with the State Wildlife Department with the aim of protecting a 64 acre ecological space to help facilitate rehabilitation programmes for endangered species of faunas endemic to Sabah.
Learn about these adorable endangered primates, and watch their feeding time, getting up close and personal with the wildlife. Children can get even more involved if they wish by electing to help the park ranger with their daily duties.
A huge range of other excursions and activities are available both in the reserve and in the surrounding area, including canopy walks through the lush rainforest reserve, birdwatching, and firefly river tours.
