During your stay at the Neptune Mara Rianta Luxury Camp 5*, you will enjoy the following Safari itinerary.

Day 1: Nairobi - Mara North Conservancy
Jambo! The driver is waiting upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi to bring you to the Nairobi Wilson Airport (which takes about 45 minutes). You board a stunning 1-hour flight to the Mara North Conservancy, the northern half of the Serengeti-Masai Mara ecosystem. Landed at the Mara North Airstrip, you receive a bush welcome drink, a warm African welcome. Then it’s time for your transfer to the Neptune Mara Rianta Luxury Camp (which takes approximately 30 minutes).

After the check-in and camp briefing, you have lunch and some free time to enjoy the facilities of the camp, overlooking the Mara River (don’t miss our hippo pool!). Your personal butler is on call 24/7 to assist with any inquiries you may have during your stay at the camp. Late afternoon your adventure starts! You go on an exclusive game drive in the Mara North Conservancy, where off-road driving is allowed for a short period of time when there is interesting game in the area. Ideal for making the most spectacular photos! At the end of the day a Maasai guides you to the restaurant to enjoy a fine dinner and back to your luxury tent for your first overnight. 

Day 2: Balloon Safari and Mara North Conservancy
You awake before dawn and set out in the early morning moonlight for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: an amazing hot air balloon safari over the Mara plains. There is no better way to admire the beauty of nature than from above, where you have a magnificent bird’s eye view of all the animals below. A breathtaking experience that will for sure even surpass your expectations and ends with an unforgettable champagne breakfast in the savanna.

Early morning hot air balloon safari in the Masai Mara Reserve

A balloon safari is an opportune moment to capture the vast Masai Mara plains from a bird’s eye view! This safari takes place at the crack of dawn to ensure you don’t miss the spectacular sunrise. As the balloon takes off, the gas burners warm you up from the morning chill. The balloon floats over the Mara River where hundreds of hippos lay in and on the banks. At this time lions are hunting, elephants panting, hyenas laughing and the birds of prey hanging out of the large African greenheart trees. During the great migration you can even capture the wildebeest attempting to cross the Mara River from the Serengeti into the Masai Mara while the predators are lurking. The breathtaking experience ends with a sumptuous champagne breakfast, cooked out in the savannah. Each guest is awarded with a certificate by the expert balloon pilot. A once in a lifetime experience that will for sure surpass your expectations!

In the afternoon you have lunch at the camp and some time at leisure. Late afternoon you set off to experience another safari adventure in the Mara North Conservancy until the sun sets. Upon return you can exchange your stories of today’s adventures while having dinner or your favorite drink at the bar.
Day 3: Mara North Conservancy
After a nice cup of coffee you leave for an early morning game drive in the Mara North Conservancy. Our expert guides know the area like nobody else and do their utmost to trace the game for you as the sun rises. During the morning and also late afternoon period, the animals are more active and you have the best light conditions to take your pictures. At the camp, you enjoy a delicious breakfast before going to the Earth & Rain Spa for a relaxing 30-minute couples massage. There is no better way to take a short break of exploration than by indulging yourself in a pampering session. The afternoon you have lunch and some time at leisure. Late afternoon you set off to experience another magical safari in the Mara North Conservancy until the sun sets. You make some more memories with your loved one in the evening during a romantic candle light dinner at the privacy of your room terrace.
Day 4: Mara North Conservancy - Diani Beach
The day starts with a nice cup of coffee, ready to leave for an early morning game drive in the Mara North Conservancy. Our expert guides know the area like nobody else and do their utmost to trace the game for you as the sun rises. During the morning period the animals are more active and you have the best light conditions to take your pictures. When you return at the camp, a sumptuous breakfast is already set up for you. Depending on your flight time, you have your last lunch at the camp before your transfer to the Mara North Airstrip.  A superb 2,5-hour flight brings you to the Ukunda Airstrip. The driver is waiting to bring you to the Neptune Palm Beach Boutique Resort & Spa (an 8 km drive), ideally situated at the beautiful Diani Beach. The start of your fantastic beach holiday. You stay on all-inclusive basis in a Deluxe Garden Room.

Day 5 - Day 8: Diani Beach

Day 8: Diani Beach - Mombasa
Time to return home with a suitcase full of unforgettable African memories. A transfer is foreseen to bring you to the Moi International Airport of Mombasa (approximately 2-hour drive).

Funzi Kinazini

Your Optional Excursions
Take part in an unforgettable day at one of the last ecologically intact paradises on Earth. After being picked up from your hotel, you will be driven to the base camp in Bodo - an ancient finishing village that is 1 hour South of Mombasa. After a light breakfast, you will sail to Funzi island where you get a glimpse into the everyday life of a shiraziSwahili Village that has remained unchanged for 100 years. Enjoy a canoe trip up the Ramisi river to explore a unique eco-system protected by dense mangroves. 

You will observe a large variety of birdlife and the occasional Crocodile or Giant Lizard from the safety of your canoe. You will then journey to an isolated sandbank in the warm Indian Ocean where you can swim and relax on the warm white sand. Then sail to Kinazini, an uninhabited private Island Restaurant. 

Here, there is a chance that you will see dolphins or giant turtle sea turtle on the way! Once there you will enjoy a sumptuous seafood BBQ lunch, including delicious crab and lobster. After lunch, you have time for a siesta or swim as you explore the island before sailing back to Bodo for a transfer back to the hotel.

You need a visa to enter Kenya. You can either get a visa on arrival at the airport or before you travel. To minimise time spent queuing at the airport, get a visa before you travel.

From the first of January, visas will only be issued through their online platform.
