Hôtel Colonne 4* —
The Hôtel Colonne 4* is a magical place where you can lose track of time. An atmosphere in perfect balance between the present and the past awaits you in this establishment where you can discover a history that began at the end of the 19th century. Today, it counts among its protagonists the chef Silvio Battistoni, who has 3 Michelin stars.
The "house"—located in front of the statue of Moses, at the end of the path of the 14 chapels—was the best place to welcome pilgrims. In 1909, with the arrival of the funicular, the flow of pilgrims moved to the other side of the town and it was therefore decided to move the hotel's restaurant, keeping the same sign and above all the name that already had a solid reputation.

Take advantage of the hotel's location in the middle of nature to visit the Sacromonte di Varese, which is part of the group of nine pre-alpine Sacri Monti mountains in Piedmont and Lombardy, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2003.
A place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages, it offers an evocative walk along a paved path of about two kilometres, during which you can admire the fourteen chapels dedicated to the Mysteries of the Rosary, and finally reach the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Monte, a place rich in history and immersed in a splendid natural landscape.
