Baccaresca Castle is located on the hills of Gubbio, in the northeastern part of Umbria. Known as “the green heart of Italy” this region has enchanted and captivated generations of travellers. Close to the art and atmosphere of medieval Gubbio, and less than an hour by car from the spirituality of Assisi, the liveliness of Perugia and Urbino.

Offering a truly traditional European countryside stay, the hotel is located in the heart of rural Italy, so please note we strongly advise that all guests utilise our car option to ensure travel to the hotel can be completed without difficulty.

The Baccaresca Castle opens its doors to offer refined Italian style. Inside, the sophisticated spaces create the perfect environment for living, working, entertaining, and celebrating. An ideal location for enjoying good company and sharing the elegant atmosphere.

Entering the castle is a pleasure at every step. The medieval architecture has been carefully restored and offers beautiful views of the countryside. The church of S. Anna, built in the fourteenth century, is also surrounded by the quiet of the park.

Flights: The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers: can be added at the next stage of booking process for an additional fee. Direct flights to Perugia from London Stanstead are available. Distance from Perugia 50 min 45 km. Guests flying from other UK locations will fly to Rome: 2 hr 45 min/234 km.

Car Hire: can be added at the next stage of booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only).

Meet & Greet —

If you are driving to the airport in the UK, and book our package including flights, you may wish to add our Meet and Greet service. Take the hassle out of airport parking and have an official representative take your car on arrival, and it will be waiting for you on your return.

Car Hire —

Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group.

The minimum age for driving a hire car in Italy is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year. You must present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and in some cases a credit card deposit.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, Meet & Greet, car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services. Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
