Meander through the quintessentially Italian alleyways and cobbled lanes, explore the local squares in this charming village where pottery workshops, leather markets, and local food markets are set up, or visit old monuments and churches.
In the wonderful Piazza Duomo, in front of the village church, you can take in the medieval architecture of the old Palazzo del Podestà and the Palazzo Comunale. Rich in history, San Gimignano is also famous for its towers, with fourteen still existing today, providing a view that is like an olden-day Manhattan skyline.
