Pistoia is a charming Roman town famed for its art and architecture. The centre is full of churches, cloisters, palaces and monuments, ranging from the Middle Ages, congregated around the main square where the impressive Doumo stands.
Every year in July there is a Blues Festival in Piazza del Duomo, which attracts stars like John Mayall, B. B. King and Bob Dylan.
The villa is 25 km from Florence, 15 km from the spa town Montecatini, 30 km from the city of Lucca and its ancient city walls, 45 km from Pisa and its famous leaning tower and 80 km from Siena and San Gimignano.
Your Hotel —
The Villa dates back to the middle of 1600 but since 2004 it has been transformed into a wonderful "agriturismo" by the Bottais Family. Popular throughout Italy, agritourismos combine a working farm with boutique style accommodation.
Often surrounded by beautiful landscapes, and of course serving delicious food, fresh from the farm, they are an excellent choice for tourists who want to relax and eat well, surrounded by nature.
Villa de 'Fiori is surrounded by a beautiful garden, shaded by tall trees. Beyond this, the farm is surrounded by olive groves and woodland, happily inhabited by wildlife such as wild boar, deer, kestrels and buzzards.
Guests can relax on the newly built verandah, which overlooks the gardens, with a good book and a glass of wine.
