If booking as a solo traveller, room type is not guaranteed. You may be placed in a single, double or twin room, based on availability.

You may be asked to provide a credit/debit card deposit on arrival to cover any purchases made at the hotel.

Although we endeavour to provide up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee that all hotel facilities and services will be available during your stay, especially when travelling out of the main holiday periods.

Star rating standards may differ to that of the UK, depending on the country of travel.

The location shown on our map is to be used as a guide only and the actual location of the property may differ.

Your contact details may be passed on to the hotel so that they can make contact with you to discuss your booking in advance of your arrival.

- Minimum licence duration: 1 year

- Documents to be presented on site: Identity card or passport, credit card in the driver's name, driving licence

Drivers must have held a valid driving licence for at least one year and must not have committed any serious traffic offences.

If the driving licence is not written in the Roman alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese), an International Driving Licence (IDL) is required. The international driving licence must be accompanied by the driver's original driving licence. An international driving licence will also be required for all drivers residing in non-EU countries who rent the vehicle in an EU member state.

The price includes:

- Roadside assistance service: In case of emergency, please call the contact number provided by the pick-up location. The reception staff will provide you with all the information regarding what is covered by the roadside assistance service.

- RCA: third-party coverage

- CDW: collision damage waiver. This applies to all authorised drivers and partially covers damage to the vehicle. CDW is subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement that you will sign when you pick up the vehicle.

- TP: partial theft protection

- Unlimited mileage

- Airport surcharge: 16% (for car rentals at an airport)

- Station surcharge: 16% (for car rentals at a station)

- Road tax: €2 per day

- Maximum rental period: 30 days

- VAT: 22%

- Additional driver

 

The price does not include:

- Deposit according to vehicle type:

Category B - C vehicles: €600

Category E - J - L - O - U vehicles: €800

The deposit will be refunded after the rental period, provided that all conditions have been met.

- Damage excess depending on the type of vehicle:

Category B - C vehicles: €1,200

Category E vehicles: €2,000

- Theft excess depending on the type of vehicle:

Category B - C vehicles: £2,000

Category E vehicles: £2,500

- Fuel: unless otherwise specified, the vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was picked up.

- Additional cover (see paragraph on super cover)

Any additional cover can be taken out and purchased locally when the vehicle is picked up. The cost may vary depending on the type of product chosen by the customer. Please ask the reception staff.

- Young driver surcharge: €15 per day for drivers aged 21 to 24 at the time of hire

- Motorway tolls / Parking fees / Traffic violation fees

- Refuelling service: €18

- Arrival and departure outside office hours: £35 (£50 in Puglia), on request (with flight number and telephone number of the person making the booking)

- Baby seat: £35 per rental

- Loss of keys: €250

- Loss or damage to GPS: €200

- Fee for each new notification: €40

- Accident management fee: €50

(All prices are displayed in £ and do not include 22% VAT)

Due to exchange rate fluctuations and other possible bank charges, the car rental company cannot be held responsible for any difference between the amount paid and the rental amount.

 

Super cover

Additional cover depending on the type of vehicle:

Vehicles in categories B - C - E: €24/day

This includes:

- 50% reduction in the security deposit required on arrival

- Cancels the amounts due in the event of damage, theft, fire, damage to the windscreen, tyres, interior and acts of vandalism.

- In the event of partial or total theft or fire occurring in Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Catania and the province, the customer will be financially liable for the reduced amount indicated:

€1,000 for category B/C vehicles

€1,250 for category E vehicles

It shall not apply if the driver's behaviour is contrary to Article 1176 of the Civil Code. In any event, the driver may not invoke any limitation of liability in the event of negligence, fraud or gross negligence in accordance with Article 1229 of the Civil Code. In all such cases, the customer shall be fully liable for the total cost of the vehicle.

 

Terms and conditions:

The following terms and conditions are an extract from those contained in the rental agreement signed by the customer, the full version of which is available at www.drivalia.com.

Terms and conditions subject to change without notice

Rates are valid in Italy and cannot be taken into account in loyalty programmes.

The fleet and models are subject to change and updates without prior notice.

The rental is considered extended until the vehicle is returned.

The customer must comply with the Highway Code and use the vehicle with the diligence provided for in Article 1176 of the Civil Code.

CDW, TP and super coverage are not valid if: the driver's behaviour is contrary to Article 1176 of the Civil Code. In the event of negligence, fraud or gross negligence, in accordance with Article 1229 of the Civil Code, in the event of loss of the vehicle keys.

All customers must present a valid credit card in the driver's name for extras, insurance, excess and fuel.

 

Please note:

- GPS: Many suppliers are phasing out this equipment as many cars are equipped with Android Car Play or Apple Car. Drivalia is one of them; no GPS is managed by the meter.

- Fleet: Keep in mind that all models should be considered representative.

 

Cancellation policy: A booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days before the scheduled departure time. Beyond that, the supplier reserves the right to retain all costs incurred.

 

Important note:

If the main driver is not the person who made the booking, it is essential to provide the driver's first and last name to [email protected]. In addition, the credit card must be in the name of the main driver. Debit cards are not accepted.

If you book a package that includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package that does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as an agent for the accommodation provider.
