Once a popular spot for Roman patricians to build their villas, Vico Equense is located a convenient 10 km from Sorrento. Enjoy the irresistible hiking trails that wind around Monte Faito, visit the Church of the Annunciation, where the Gothic architecture perches gorgeously over the clifftop, Or, simply sunbathe on the beach after ordering gelato in one of the pastel-covered cafes by the shore! There’s plenty to do in this quaint village. 

 

We recommend travellers make use of our car hire option to explore the surrounding area: enjoy the beautiful hillsides, valleys and majestic mountains decorated with vineyards, lemon and olive treesthat continue on for as far as the eye can see before plunging toward the sea. Go shopping in Sorrento and fall in love with its cobblestoned side streets and scenic squares such as Piazza Tasso and Piazza Antica. Take a day trip to Salerno or Naples, where cathedrals, gardens, museums and castles are perfect sites for culture vultures.
