Day 1: Arrival in Taormina
Upon arrival at Catania Airport, collect your luggage and meet your transfer to your hotel. Check into your room, unwind, and take a moment to soak in the inviting atmosphere. Spend the rest of the day at your own pace, wandering through the charming streets of Taormina, discovering its picturesque squares, vibrant cafés, and breathtaking views of the sparkling Ionian Sea. Let the beauty and charm of this historic town welcome you to your Sicilian adventure.

DAY 2: MOUNT ETNA ⇄ TAORMINA
After breakfast, meet your tour guide and set off to Mount Etna, Sicily’s highest peak and Europe’s most active volcano. Explore the surrounding Etna Park, one of Italy’s largest protected areas, and marvel at the diverse landscapes and vegetation along the way. Reach the Silvestri Craters at around 1,900 meters and enjoy a taste of local Sicilian specialities before returning to Taormina. Spend the afternoon wandering at your own pace through the town’s charming streets, passing historic landmarks such as the 15th-century Palazzo Corvaja and the ancient Greek-Roman theatre, Sicily’s second largest (admission not included). Then wander through Ortigia, the city’s historic heart, and admire its stunning cathedral and charming streets steeped in history.

DAY 4: LIPARI & VULCANO ⇄ TAORMINA (OPTIONAL)
Spend a day at leisure in Taormina or join an optional excursion to the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Travel by bus with your tour leader to the port of Milazzo, then continue by private motorboat to Lipari. Explore the old town, visit the archaeological park and cathedral, and enjoy some free time for local shopping. Sail past the striking "Faraglioni" and the "Horse’s Cave" before continuing to Vulcano, where you can take a dip in the famous sulfurous mud baths (entrance fee applies; not suitable for pregnant women or children). Return by sea, admiring the scenic "Rock of the Little Mermaid" along the coast.

DAY 6: TAORMINA

Hop on and off the bus to explore attractions at your own pace, then catch the next bus using the same ticket. Discover the cinematic charm of Forza d’Agrò, a hilltop village overlooking Taormina. Wander through its narrow streets, admire the Durazzesco Arch and the Cathedral, the setting for Michael Corleone’s wedding in The Godfather, and enjoy panoramic views of the coastline. Continue to Savoca, where several iconic scenes from the film were shot. Visit the famous Bar Vitelli and other historic landmarks that bring the movie to life.
