Set on the Gulf of Tigullio between Rapallo and Portofino, the fishing town of Santa Margherita Ligure has an ideal location about 35 kilometres southeast of Genoa.

Where elegant hotels with Liberty facades overlook yachts in this fishing village. Santa Margherita Ligure is far more authentic than some of the other coastline resort towns. Its lovely palm-laden harbour, warm climate, gardens of the picture-perfect seaside promenade and historic centre offers an enviable holiday destination. Visit the 16th-century castle and the 17th-century Basilica di Santa Margherita, or set out to visit the Italian coastline in more depth. 

Rapallo is a charming place, situated on the stunning Ligurian Sea coast, littered with quaint houses nestled in the hills. There is a range of fascinating historical buildings which you can visit, featuring spectacular architecture for you to feast your eyes upon.

You should also visit Portofino, a famously beautiful village and a popular yachting destination. The view from the harbour is absolutely unforgettable, and there are a whole host of restaurants offering regional specialities for you to try.

Another place to explore is the UNESCO World Heritage Cinque Terre region - a rugged portion of coastline which is home to five picturesque villages and magnificent rolling hillsides.

Whilst you stay at the Hotel Helios, enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet out on the veranda, overlooking the hotel pool, palm trees and waterfalls. 

Alongside the veranda, you will find the Cocktail & Snackbar "La Terrasse", serving international cocktails, wines and light bites. If you fancy something a bit more hearty, visit "La Darsena" restaurant. This extremely well-known and well-regarded restaurant with the locals, means that La Darsena is busy all year round. Offering traditional Italian dishes and authentic local cuisine, you must try its famous 'spaghetti alle vongole' grilled and fried fish and delicious desserts such as tiramisu. 

Your Time —

While you are in Italy, you must enjoy the beautiful Italian Riviera. Whether you are driving along the coast, towards Cinque Terre, or if you are relaxing in the bright sunshine by the pool. 

Hotel Helios is ideally situated by the coast, allowing its guests to paddle their feet in the sea, or laying on the sparkling sands. You may also spend your time in the exclusive swimming area taking a relaxing swim in the fantastic circular pool or have a refreshing dip in the natural seawater pool complete with waterfalls. Take advantage of the sunbeds, sunshades, changing rooms and warm water showers that are included in this area.

Flights: The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Car Hire —

Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group.
The minimum age for driving a hire car in Italy is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year.

The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver.  The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted).

The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on the collection of the vehicle and in some cases, a credit card or cash deposit will be required.

Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers
You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services. Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
