Rapallo —
Rapallo is a charming place, situated on the stunning Ligurian Sea coast, littered with quaint houses nestled in the hills. There are a range of fascinating historical buildings which you can visit, featuring spectacular architecture for you to feast your eyes upon. One of its most prominent landmarks is the Castello di Rapallo, bordering the harbour. For breathtaking views over the whole area, take a cable car to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro, perched high on the hill. Inside, a heavenly atmosphere is created by gilded accents of gold, chandeliers and detailed religious paintings.
Outside of Rapallo, you can visit Portofino, a famously beautiful village and a popular yachting destination. The view from the harbour is absolutely unforgettable, and there are a whole host of restaurants offering regional specialities for you to try. Another place to explore is the UNESCO World Heritage Cinque Terre region - a rugged portion of coastline which is home to five picturesque villages and magnificent rolling hillsides.
