Your Itinerary In Detail —
3-Night Tour
DAY: 1 Arrival
- Arrive in Piedmont at Tigliole d'Asti Hotel "Ca Vittoria"
- Enjoy some free time for a first visit to the village
- Overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 2: Visit Asti + wine tasting
- Visit the city of Asti and the Langa Astigiana
- Asti, a medieval town characterised by its red brick towers, reveals its link with the land and, in particular, with local wine production. We recommend visiting the collegiate church of San Secondo, the baptistery of San Pietro and the Palazzo Alfieri.
- In the afternoon, take a tour through the beautiful landscapes, passing several picturesque villages such as Isola d'Asti, Nizza Monferrato, Canelli, Castiglione Tinella, and Costigliole d'Asti and enter the production area of Moscato d'Asti, a fresh-sweet sparkling white wine made from the Moscato Bianco grape.
- Visit a local winery and enjoy a wine tasting in a local Piedmontese wine cellar
- Overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 3: Truffle hunting
- After breakfast, enjoy some free time to explore some of the surroundings.
- Experience an authentic "truffle hunt" during the day with a brief explanation of the local products.
- Depart on a guided tour to the natural truffle fields, experiencing a real truffle picking along a picturesque path with rest stops.
- Overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 4: Departure
- After breakfast, leave for the airport today for your flight home
5-Night Tour
DAY 1 to DAY 3: Same as the 3-night tour
DAY 4: Visit Alba
- Depart towards Alba, the main centre of the Langhe.
- Alba is a town with a medieval centre, towers and tower houses with an evocative nineteenth-century atmosphere. Further south, you reach Grinzane Cavour. Here begins a path that runs along the ridges that make up "Le Langhe" (literally the thinned-out ridge of a chain of hills).
- You can visit La Morra, a medieval town with stunning views or Barolo, a small wine village best known for the wine of the same name grown in the area. In almost every street you will find one or more enoteche selling top local wines.
- You can wander a bit through the streets around Via Roma, but must absolutely have seen Barolo's castle: Castello Falletti.
DAY 5: Free day
- Enjoy a free day to rest. Put on your hiking boots and take a brisk walk through the beautiful surroundings, then slip your feet under the table at a local restaurant and sample all the goodies this region has to offer.
- You can visit Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region, and one of the most beautiful cities in Italy.
- The city of Martinis, Lavazza coffee, Eataly and Fiat... this northern Italian city has a beautiful history, overflows with restaurants and trendy places, fun shops and museums and is also very atmospheric.
