Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1: Arrival in Naples
- Board the ship at 6pm.
- Meet the crew, enjoy a welcome cocktail.
- Dinner on board, followed by an evening of entertainment.
DAY 2 : Naples
- Optional morning excursion: Pompeii
- A visit to Pompeii is like going back to the origins of our civilisation: narrow streets, temples and forums and villas covered in sumptuous mosaics.
- Optional morning experience: Herculaneum
- Like Pompeii, Herculaneum was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Discover the famous houses of ancient Herculaneum. In the afternoon, choose from optional excursions to Naples.
- Optional afternoon excursion: Naples
- Discover must-sees such as Old Naples and the Royal Palace. In the oldest district of Naples, stroll along Via San Gregorio Armeno, characterised by its many workshops and small shops displaying enchanting Italian santons (Christmas crib figurines) throughout the year. Visit the cloister of Santa Chiara, which houses a beautiful 18th-century nativity crib with scenes from daily life and 'santons' dressed in old-fashioned costumes.
- Optional afternoon experience: Naples and pizza tasting
- Discover the city's monumental district and its landmarks: Piazza Plebiscito dominated by the church of San Francesco di Paola, Galleria Umberto I, San Carlo Theatre (exterior) and the Royal Palace (exterior), which was one of the main residences of the Bourbon Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. Stop at a pizzeria for a demonstration by a Neapolitan pizzaiolo and enjoy a tasting of authentic "pizza margherita".
DAY 3: The Aeolian Islands
- Morning cruise through the Aeolian Islands
- Emerging from a cobalt-blue sea off the coast of Sicily, the Aeolian Islands (Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi and Alicudi), included on Unesco's World Heritage List, are truly beautiful. According to Greek mythology, Aeolus took shelter on these islands and gave them his name, in homage to his reputation as the tamer of the Winds.
- Optional afternoon excursion: Tindari
- Discover the sanctuary of the Black Madonna on a promontory overlooking the entire Gulf of Patti and its immense "Tonnara d'Oliveri" lagoon. Enjoy free time in Milazzo, a charming town dominated by a medieval citadel.
DAY 4: Messina
- Optional excursion: Day trip to Mount Etna and Taormina
- Climb to an altitude of around 1950 m to discover the Silvestri crater area of Europe's largest active volcano. Enjoy a superb view of the Gulf of Catania, before continuing on to Taormina. Perched on a terrace overlooking the sea, Taormina embodies the legendary beauty of Sicily. Among other things, you will visit its spectacular ancient theatre.
- Optional experience: A day on Mount Etna and wine tasting
- Over the centuries, eruptions have modified the flanks of the volcano, creating unique swathes of lava and ice. Take the coach up to the Sapienza refuge at an altitude of around 1,900 metres. From here, continue your ascent by cable car and then 4x4 bus to the area known as the "Philosopher's Tower". From the ancient and grandiose "valle del Bove" caldera (3,000m. above sea level), you can enjoy superb panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 5: Vibo Marina
- Morning cruise.
- Optional afternoon excursion: Calabria
- Bathed by the splendid waters of the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas and separated from Sicily by the Strait of Messina, this is the tip of the boot, the southernmost tip of Italy. It's also the cradle of Magna Graecia, a land of ancient civilisations and places where centuries-old customs and traditions endure. Discover Tropéa, the pearl of Calabria. This little gem of a town in perched on a rocky promontory, surrounded by sheer cliffs teetering above the sea. Enjoy a tasting of regional products.
DAY 6: Salerno
- Morning cruise.
- Optional afternoon excursion: Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast
- Discover Sorrento, a charming town surrounded by orange and lemon groves, with a spectacular view over the sea. Tasting of Limoncello. Continue along the Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful tourist routes in the world! You'll be able to admire a succession of charming villages, pastel-coloured houses and elegant seaside resorts.
- Optional afternoon experience: Amalfi
- Take the iconic coastal road to Amalfi. Enjoy sublime panoramas that vary at every twist and turn in the vertiginously steep road. Visit Amalfi, an ancient maritime republic and its splendid cathedral.
- Gala evening.
DAY 7 : Naples
- Optional excursion: Capri and Anacapri (lunch included)
- Departure by hydrofoil to the splendid island of Capri. On arrival, visit the village of Anacapri and Villa San Michele, the home of the Swedish writer Axel Munthe. This was also the site of Emperor Tiberius' villa. From the beautiful San Michele Gardens, you can enjoy magnificent views over the town of Capri, the Bay of Naples, the Sorrento peninsula and Mount Vesuvius. After lunch, enjoy leisurely meandering or visit to the Gardens of Augustus, situated at the top of a cliff and offering a breathtaking view of the turquoise sea. Return to Naples by hydrofoil.
- Evening of traditional Neapolitan song and dance.
DAY 8 : Naples
- Buffet breakfast on board.

Naples
The regional capital of Campania and one of the oldest continuously inhabited urban areas in the world, Naples is a true encapsulation of the Italian spirit. The birthplace of pizza, home to a UNESCO World Heritage city centre, and full of narrow, cobbled streets brimming with locals and tourists - this city is full of life.
For foodies, Naples is a true heaven. Boasting the most Michelin-stars of any Italian city, Naples is also the birthplace of the classic Neapolitan pizza; indeed, Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba is believed to be the oldest pizzeria in the world, where you can sample the simple but delicious pizza Margherita. Visitors to the city can also take a day trip to the ancient site of Pompeii - which needs little introduction - as well as Herculaneum, a richer town that similarly perished in the eruption but left grander ruins and mosaics.
Back in the city, the National Archaeological Museum is the place to go to explore more of the region’s Roman history, or experience the city’s striking religious history in Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio ad Arco, a haunting church filled with human skulls. As the night draws in, head to the Lungomare (seafront) to admire the sunset over the sea, and perhaps take a break from pizza with fresh seafood from one of the waterfront restaurants.
