DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrive in Naples in the early afternoon and board your ship, MSC Fantasia, at the end of the day. Settle into your Cabin and head out to explore what your cruise ship has to offer!

DAY 2: EN ROUTE TO SPAIN

Set sail for Spain!  While you venture into the Mediterranean Sea, in the direction of Palma de Mallorca, take advantage of your first day on board to discover the facilities and restaurants. Take a dip in the swimming pool or play a tournament of mini-golf!

DAY 3: PALMA DE MALLORCA - SPAIN

Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the largest island in the Balearic Islands, is a pleasant, modern city facing the sea of shimmering shades of blue. Take a stroll through the old town and feel the typical Mediterranean atmosphere. Its Gothic cathedral, the island's great architectural masterpiece, will undoubtedly amaze you, while the Almudaina Palace and the Sant Francesc Basilica will take you back in time.

DAY 4: BARCELONA - SPAIN

You will disembark at around 8am in a vibrant city abundant in activities and attractions for a thrilling visit. Welcome to Barcelona! Choose to follow in the footsteps of the famous Gaudí's works, such as the Sagrada Família, the Casa Batlló, the Parc Güell or the Casa Milà, lose yourself in the maze of alleyways in the Gothic Quarter, or hike up to Montjuïc. Do you want to relax? Head to the Ciutadella park or to a beautiful beach for a little seaside idleness.

DAY 5: MARSEILLE - FRANCE

From the charming oldest district of Marseille, Le Panier, via the Old Port to the Corniche, this thrilling city sprawls against the glistening blue of the Mediterranean. The Basilique Notre Dame presides proudly over a city bursting with culture and history. Take a moment in the Museum of Civilisations or be tempted by luxury shopping with the finest French brands. 

DAY 6: GENOA - ITALY

Welcome to Genoa! This port city is home to some of Europe's most impressive buildings and palaces, many dating back to the Middle Ages. The pedestrianised historic centre of north-western Italy is home to Renaissance palaces, Catholic cathedrals, art museums and beautiful squares. Roam these historic streets and soak up the romantic spirit, take a photo of the dream-like colours of the buildings and vivid alleyways. 

DAY 7: LA SPEZIA - ITALY

La Spezia is magnificently situated in the Gulf of Poets and is often referred to as the Gateway to Cinq Terre, a scattering of extremely picturesque seaside towns on the Italian coast. Showcasing rich heritage due to its naval ties, La Spezia boasts numerous museums, including the beautiful Amadeo Lia Museum. To feel the pulse of the city, you should stroll along Via del Prione, as it winds through the historic centre.

DAY 8: NAPLES - DEPARTURE
Today, you return to Naples in the early afternoon.

The birthplace of pizza, home to a UNESCO World Heritage city centre, and full of narrow, cobbled streets brimming with locals and tourists - this city is full of life.

For foodies, Naples is a true heaven. Boasting the most Michelin-stars of any Italian city, Naples is also the birthplace of the classic Neapolitan pizza; indeed, Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba is believed to be the oldest pizzeria in the world, where you can sample the simple but delicious pizza Margherita. Visitors to the city can also take a day trip to the ancient site of Pompeii - which needs little introduction - as well as Herculaneum, a richer town that similarly perished in the eruption but left grander ruins and mosaics.

Back in the city, the National Archaeological Museum is the place to go to explore more of the region’s Roman history, or experience the city’s striking religious history in Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio ad Arco, a haunting church filled with human skulls. As the night draws in, head to the Lungomare (seafront) to admire the sunset over the sea, and perhaps take a break from pizza with fresh seafood from one of the waterfront restaurants.

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, an autonomous state in Spain’s northeast, where you can experience this region’s unique culture in a lively and cosmopolitan city. Situated on the Mediterranean coast, here, it’s possible to combine a trip to a modern and bustling city with a relaxed beach break while discovering some of the country’s best museums and galleries.

In the centre of the city, the skyline is dominated by the iconic La Sagrada Familia, a still-unfinished church designed by Antoni Gaudí in the late-nineteenth century. To see more of Gaudi’s unique vision, head to Park Güell in the north of the city, where you’ll be granted a stunning view of the narrow streets of the city centre. If you're hankering for modern Catalan art and sculpture, the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art is the place to go, which offers a collection spanning 5,000 works.

As the sun goes down, enjoy an authentic paella or tapas alongside a local Catalonian wine in the Gothic district of the city, the Barri Gòtic. Afterwards, the best sunset views are achieved by getting the cable car up the Montjuïc Mountain, where you can relax beside a 17th-century fortress. Further out of the city, Tibidabo Mountain offers a breathtaking vista over the city and the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the charming sight of a small amusement park - where else in the world can you ride a rollercoaster 500m above sea level?

For a refreshing break, head towards the creeks! Small coves such as Anse des Phocéens or Port Pin are particularly pleasant. Finally, for family walks and swimming, head to Prado with its landscaped beaches, green spaces and excellent leisure facilities.
