Marriott Global Cleanliness Council
Marriott recently announced the establishment of the Marriott Global Cleanliness Council, which includes internal and external experts in food and drinking water security, hygiene, infection prevention, and hotel operations. Together, the members of this council are developing a new generation of global standards, norms and codes of conduct for hygiene and cleanliness in the hospitality industry for over 7,300 Marriott hotels around the world. The new standards aim to minimize the risks for guests of the company and the more than 750,000 people worldwide who proudly wear the Marriott name badge and to increase security.
New Cleaning Technologies
As the Marriott Council carries out its task, the company has launched plans to introduce optimized technologies in its hotels over the coming months, including electrostatic sprayers that allow disinfection without direct contact. Marriott also uses top-class disinfectants for its daily cleaning routines, which are recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization to treat known pathogens.

Transfers:
It may be possible to add return transfers at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only - subject to availability). For inbound transfer arrangements please confirm with your transfer provider when you arrive. Alternatively, please check with the reception of your accommodation. Car Hire:
For the freedom to explore your destination at your own pace, Sixt car hire may be added at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only - subject to availability and Sixt office opening times upon your arrival). Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group. The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver. The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted). The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on the collection of the vehicle and in some cases, a credit card or cash deposit will be required. Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions.
