Ischia is the largest island in the Gulf of Naples and is rich in natural resources – indeed, it is famed for its abundance of thermal springs, beautiful sandy beaches, verdant greenery and crystalline waters. The island is perhaps most popular for its thermal springs which are thought to have healing properties for both beauty and health.

Since the nineteenth century, Ischia has become one of Europe’s most visited spa centres. Along with its rich resources in thermal springs, the clean and clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea are a huge attraction for visitors. Many thermal spa gardens on the island incorporate the sea with the springs, creating warm thermal pools situated by the beach overlooking the amazingly beautiful scenery of the island. Focused on agriculture and wine-making, the island is self-sufficient and uses local produce to create the freshest of foods.

The Amalfi Coast is a place known all over the world for its unparalleled natural beauty, rich history and local gastronomy. Miles and miles of soft sand hug the coast, lapped by the beautiful azure sea. Filled with traditional Italian towns and villages, visitors to the region can experience fine gastronomy that is served in delightful restaurants and cafés that line meandering, cobbled streets.

Your Itinerary & Excursions —

The following five excursions are included within this offer. They act as an itinerary during your stay and will ensure you are able to make the most of your stay on the Italian coast.

After your arrival in Ischia, you will enjoy free time at your assigned hotel (details below). An assistant will pick you up and will present your itinerary, allowing you to learn more about your excursions before you set off.

Please Note: All of the following excursions are included but they all depend on weather and sea conditions so the set schedule will be communicated to guests upon arrival.

Excursion A: Mediterranean Garden Farm
Panoramic ascent and descent by monorail. Visit of the farm and the ancient wine cellar of 1800. Tasting of typical products of the island and local specialities, with a breathtaking view. Let the sights, smells and tastes overwhelm you during this incredible experience. Transfer is included. Clients will depart from the hotel after the breakfast and the duration of this excursion is 3-4 hours.

Excursion B: “Boccia” bakehouse, dinner at “O’ Padrone do Mare restaurant”
Clients will depart from the hotel after breakfast. Boccia is one of the most ancient bakeries, situated in the borough of Ischia Ponte. You will enjoy the “best seller” pane e mortadella admiring the well-known Aragonese Castle. Transfer included. Walking tour ischia ponte. Enjoy a seafood dinner at O’Padrone do Mare restaurant located in the centre of Lacco Ameno Village. Transfer included. The duration of this excursion is 2-3 hours.

Excursion C: Capri
Departure from Ischia to Capri. Arrival in the port of Marina Grande. With the guide, visit the famous “Piazzetta” and typical alleys of the island. Optional visit to the Museum Cartesiano, Certosa and Augusto’s Gardens, where you can enjoy the view of the famous Stack. Free time. Transfer by minibus to Anacapri. After lunch break, enjoy a walking tour to the alleys of Anacapri and explanation of San Michele Villa. Departure to Ischia. Excursion will last the whole day, transfer for the hotel to the port and vice versa is not included. Clients will be informed about exact time schedule in hotel. They will meet the guide once they arrive in port.

Excursion D: Napoli walking tour
Breakfast in hotel, departure to Napoli for the guided tour of the city. Visit of the Cathedral and San Gregorio Armeno. Free time for shopping. Visit to the San Lorenzo Maggiore Archeological Excavations (optional entry). Stroll in Via dei Tribunali, Spaccanapoli and optional visit of Santa Chiara Church. Lunch break in a typical pizzeria. Stroll in the famous Via Toledo, Galleria Umberto I and Piazza Plebiscito. Excursion will last the whole day, transfer for the hotel to the port and vice versa is not included. Clients will be informed about exact time schedule in hotel. They will meet the guide once they arrive in port.

Excursion E: Tour of the island by Caicco “Joya”
During the tour you will stop in the most beautiful bays of the island (Punta Chiarito, S. Pancrazio, Cartaromana, Varulo or San Montano, the stops might change depending on the weather conditions). Lunch on board. In case of bad weather, the excursion will be substituted by an equal value excursion. Transfer included. Excursion will last half day.

Flights: The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers: It may be possible to add return airport transfers at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only - subject to availability). Transfers from the hotel to the port of Ischia during the excursions are not included for Capri or Naples.

For inbound transfer arrangements please confirm with your transfer provider when you arrive. Alternatively, please check with the reception of your accommodation. If you still require assistance, please call the transfer provider directly.

Ischia Ferries: If you are booking your flights separately, please ensure you land before 16:00, in time for the last ferry from Napoli to Ischia at 21:55. Please also ensure you depart after 12:00, as the first ferry from Ischia departs at 09:00.
