Forli —
Forlì is a town founded by the Romans in the 2nd century BC under the name Forum Livii. It is about 35 km from the Adriatic Riviera and with a pleasant walk you can reach the hills of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.
A quiet town in a convenient location, where you can visit, among other landmarks, the Romanesque basilica of San Mercuriale, the 15th-century Palazzo del Podestà and Palazzo Albertini, home to interesting exhibitions, and the San Domenico Museum Complex.
Don't miss a walk, if not a picnic, in the Franco Agosto Urban Park with its small lake with free-roaming geese and ducks, basketball courts, children's games, and rabbits peeping through the bushes.
