Join us as we explore some of Italy's most beautiful coastal villages on this 5- or 7-night Cinque Terre tour. Start your holiday in Monteresso, then take the train the next day to visit Riomaggiore, Manarola and Vernazza. Finally, a visit to Portovenere and Portofino is a must!

Day 1: Arrival in Monterosso
Nestled along the rugged coastline of the Italian Riviera, Monterosso is a picturesque fishing village renowned for its colorful houses, scenic beaches, and charming streets. As the largest of the five villages in the Cinque Terre, Monterosso offers visitors a perfect blend of coastal beauty, delicious cuisine, and a relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for those seeking an authentic taste of Italian coastal life.

Day 2: Riomaggiore - Manarola - Vernazza
Depart Monterosso by train for Riomaggiore, the first of the "Cinque Terre" villages*. You can continue your visit by train to Manarola. Take time to visit this charming village, then take the train back to Vernazza, the most picturesque of the five villages. If you're a good walker, we recommend that you return to Monterosso along trail no. 2. The walk takes around two hours and is an experience not to be missed! Along the way, you'll enjoy magnificent views of this typical Mediterranean setting.

* On this day, use your Cinque Terre card. It gives you access to the 5 Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to all the hiking trails and to the Levanto - La Spezia railway line (and vice versa) with a validity of 24 hours.
Day 3: Portovenere
Visit to the ancient village of Portovenere, easily accessible by public transport. Portovenere is an ancient fortified town and former garrison of the maritime republic of Genoa. Take time to visit the village or opt for a boat trip to one of the nearby islands. At the end of the day, drive to Rapallo.

Day 4: Portofino
Depart for the port for the ferry to Portofino, one of the most fashionable seaside resorts on the Italian Riviera. Relaxation is the order of the day—we highly recommend shopping in the town's boutiques before enjoying a panoramic drink at sunset. After spending the day exploring Portofino, you'll return to Santa Margherita Ligure by boat.

Day 5: Sestri Levante
Visit the village of Sestri Levante and its magnificent bay: the Bay of Silence. You can continue the day with a hike to the Punta Manara promontory. The mountain range stretches into the Gulf of Tigullio, between the Ligurian towns of Sestri Levante and Riva Trigoso.

- Monterosso: The largest of the Cinque Terre villages, Monterosso boasts beautiful beaches, vibrant coastal views, and medieval charm.
- Vernazza: Known as the most picturesque village in Cinque Terre, Vernazza features colourful buildings, a charming harbour, and the iconic Church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, perched above the sea.
- Riomaggiore: The first of the Cinque Terre villages, Riomaggiore offers dramatic cliffs, terraced vineyards, and a tranquil atmosphere.
