Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1 to 4
Day 1
Arrival in Piedmont, Solonghello at Hotel La Locanda dell’Arte. Delivery of travel documents. Allocation of rooms. Free time to visit the surroundings. Overnight.
Day 2
After breakfast, take your time to visit the Monferrato with its vast expanse of soft hills covered with dense rows. The scent of the vineyards mixes in these places with the aroma of truffles and hazelnuts, excellent ingredients of a succulent local cuisine and ancient traditions.
Visit Casale Monferrato, the Castle and the Civic Tower. Then visit Rosignano Monferrato and Cella Monti. During the visit, stop at a local winery for a tasting of local wines. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. You can dedicate the day to visit the city of Asti and the Langa Astigiana.
Asti: medieval city characterized by towers cut off by the red colour of the brick and the yellow of the tuff; it shows the link with the land and in particular with the production of wine. We recommend a visit to the Collegiate Church of San Secondo, the Baptistery of San Pietro and Palazzo Alfieri.
In the afternoon, travelling along the Asti Island, Nizza Monferrato Canelli, Castiglione Tinella, Castagnole Lanze, Castiglione D’Asti and Asti itinerary, you will enter the land of production of Moscato d'Asti. Visit and tasting at a local Piedmontese wine cellar. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 4
After breakfast, departure for the transfer to Liguria in La Spezia at The Poet hotel. Along the way, stop in the Gulf of Tigullio to visit Santa Margherita Ligure and excursion (optional) by boat to Portofino. Arrival in the evening at the hotel, overnight.
Day 5 to 8
Day 5
Breakfast. Full day dedicated to visiting Cinque Terre. After you have reached La Spezia railway station, departure by train to Riomaggiore, where you can arrive in just 7 minutes.
Visit the village and continue by train to Manarola. Visit the characteristic village. The visit to 'Cinque Terre' continues by train with a stop in Vernazza and Monterosso. Here you will have the opportunity to taste the white wine D.O.C. at a local Cinque Terre wine shop.
Weather permitting, we recommend your way back to La Spezia by boa. Skirting around Cinque Terre, reach Portovenere, an ancient fortified village, formerly a garrison of the Maritime Republic of Genoa. Time available for a visit and continuation by boat to La Spezia. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 6
After breakfast, journey through the Chianti area to reach Siena (206 km). Leaving the Firenze-Livorno freeway near San Miniato you will enter the Val d'Elsa, meeting the medieval towns of Castelfiorentino and Certaldo, until you reach San Gimignano, built on a hill overlooking the Val D'Elsa, in an area certainly inhabited in Etruscan era and which constitutes an exceptional testimony of medieval town planning in Tuscany.
Next stop is Colle Val d’Elsa, an ancient and dynamic manufacturing centre, and Monteriggioni, a village in the sweet landscape of the Sienese hills and a rare example of well-preserved medieval military architecture.
Arrival in Siena where we recommend you visit the Palazzo Pubblico and the Duomo. Walk in the most characteristic streets via di Città, Banchi di Sopra and Banchi di Sotto. Overnight in Pienza at Hotel Corsigliano.
Day 7
After breakfast, departure to Florence through the unique towns of Radda in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, Greve in Chianti and Impruneta.
The itinerary is certainly of great interest both for the beauty and variety of the landscapes and for the towns, which are among the richest in Italian history and art.
The large hilly region between Florence and Siena is largely also the famous Chianti wine area.
Tuscan wine tasting in a local winery.
In Florence, the city of art par excellence, we recommend you visit the Duomo, the Baptistery, Palazzo della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio, which offer a significant look into the Italian Renaissance. Return to the hotel in Pienza. Overnight.
Day 8
Tuck into your last breakfast and prepare for check out of your hotel. End of tour.

Your Destinations —
Chianti
Immerse yourself in the heart of the Chianti region, amidst greenery and fine vineyards, surrounded by unique views. The proximity to some of Italy's most beautiful cities such as Florence and Siena, the beauty of the Chianti countryside and its wine and food riches, make the area a location of absolute prestige and charm, ensuring a relaxing and indulgent stay.
Cinque Terre
Nestled along the Italian Riviera, Cinque Terre is a gorgeous region comprised of five colourful cliffside villages that are surrounded by dramatic hills and vineyards. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this 15 km stretch of coastline is well known for its incredible hiking trails, picture-perfect views, and quaint village atmosphere, and makes for a memorable Italian coastal break!
The area’s five main villages all offer something different for visitors, and if you have the time, it’s worth visiting them all - the dedicated Cinque Terre train from La Spezia runs once an hour, and makes stops at them all. Riomaggiore, the first stop on the line, is the largest, with a clifftop medieval castle; the next stop, Manarola, is the place to try the Cinque Terre’s wine, Sciacchetrà, while further down Corniglia is unique in that it does not have direct access to the sea, instead of being perched atop a dramatic cliff. Vernazza has a romantic harbour, and Monterosso offers visitors a charming beach.
Along the coast, sample Pasta alla Genovese, with the region’s delicious pesto, or some traditional focaccia; or, discover some of the equally charming towns along the Ligurian coastline. La Spezia features a spacious port and plenty of charming trattorias, while Levanto is on the very cusp of Cinque Terre, and is the ideal starting point for a long hike along the coast.
