We inform you that the Sandalia Boutique Hotel is adopting all the guidelines and protocols required by Italian regulations to deal with the Covid-19 emergency in order to ensure you and our employees a safe environment to spend your holiday in the best possible way. According to these regulations, some services may therefore be subject to variations, modifications or cancellations.

 

To guarantee you the highest levels of safety, we have in fact implemented a series of measures and reviewed every way in which our services will be provided, following the guidelines of the World Health Organization and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, and focusing on safety and serenity of our guests and our employees. Below you will find allthe safety measures for our guests.

 

Hotel sanitation

All our hotels follow cleaning protocols based on practices approved by the World Health Organization such as:

  • Cleaning of surfaces in common areas (reception, hall, corridors, bathrooms, restaurants, handrails, light switches, elevator buttons, door and window handles) carried out several times a day and with specific products.
  • Sanitation of environments using technologies and highly effective cleaning products on all surfaces.
  • Sterilization of the kitchen and utensils using cleaning products and practices in line with hospital protocols.
  • Complete sanitation of the room and textiles at each guest change with the adoption of new procedures.
  • Sanitation for each use of tables, chairs, pool or beach loungers.
  • Hand sanitation products are made available to guests and in different areas of the facility.

 

Food & Beverage / Catering Services

To ensure that guests can eat well and fully enjoy the time of the meal, we have revised our processes of ordering, preparation, supply and consumption of catering services. In particular, our catering services are characterized by:

  • Food safety by reducing product handling and human contact both during preparation and delivery also thanks to the use of disposable packaging.
  • Spacing of tables and chairs as required by law.
  • Possibility of using the menus and services through qr code, through plexiglass displays and through disposable prints.
  • Possibility of using, in some structures, the Food and Beverage services directly in the room.

 

Social Distancing 

  • Creation of ad hoc signs in all common areas with simple and intuitive descriptions to indicate suitable and safe behaviors to enjoy the holiday such as the interpersonal distance of 1 meter and the use of the mask.
  • Redesign of common areas to allow guests to maintain adequate social distance.
  • Support from staff to help guests implement these measures in all areas.
  • Our shows, activities, wellness areas have been redesigned to favor individual moments of sport and wellness.
  • Swimming pools and beaches are set up with expanded spaces and access controls to avoid crowds, so as to ensure safety while maintaining the leisure of guests.
  • Possibility of online check-in before arrival at the hotel and management of flows at the reception with special signs.

 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Employee protection: all hotel employees are subjected to body temperature measurements on a daily basis and have access to the safety devices (sanitizing gel, masks and gloves) necessary to carry out their work without risk to their own health and that of guests.
  • Employee training: all employees have been trained to comply with hygiene and safety protocols and constant updating of the same is envisaged, also to implement new procedures if requested by the World Health Organization and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.

Transfers:

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As of July 10th 2020, the UK Government has approved that travel to Italy is allowed without the need to quarantine upon return, thanks to an 'air-bridge' agreement. Italy has been listed as a 'green/amber' destination and is therefore considered safe enough to visit without requiring 14 days of self-isolation upon reentering the UK. Tourists choosing to book stopover flights may not be permitted to return without quarantining if the country they stop off in is not also listed as green/amber by the UK Government. Please note that this information is constantly being reviewed and may be subject to change.

If travellers have visited Croatia, Greece, Malta or Spain within 14 days of their arrival in Italy, they have to present proof of a negative PCR test that's no older than 72 hours OR take a test upon arrival and quarantine in the hotel while waiting for the results. All travellers visiting the island of Sardinia must have the results of a negative PCR test on arrival that's less than 48 hours old.
