2-Night Self-drive or Private Tour
Day 1 - Matera (arrive in the morning)
Depart for Matera and visit the famous 'Sassi', a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. Discover an unforgettable landscape characterised by houses carved into the limestone, and rock churches adorned with unique frescoes. Visit Casa Grotta and Casa Noha, historic peasant dwellings with authentic furnishings, a wine cellar, and the frescoed church of S. Lucia alle Malve.
Continue to the Dragone company wine producers for lunch and a tasting. The company has been producing wine from its own vineyards since 1955, of typical Lucanian varieties: Bianco di Basilicata IGT, Matera Doc primitivo, Lamina Matera Doc Rosso, Brut Silver Spumante, Ego Sum. In the afternoon, visit the 'Crypt of Original Sin', a breathtaking cave dwelling with precious frescoes from the 8th and 9th century. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 2 - Nova Siri - Rotondella
Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Rotondella which, due to its dominant position on the coast, is also called the 'balcony on the Ionian Sea'. The village is characterised by a massive 16th century tower and the 'lamie di Bitonte'. Visit the 17th century Madonna delle Grazie, and the church of S. Antonio da Padova.
Lunch and tasting at Masseria Battifarano - Cantine Cerrolongo, wine producers belonging to the DOC Matera. The wine supply chain is managed entirely in-house, and the vines grown are: Primitivo Greco, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. In the afternoon visit Nova Siri, a charming town surrounded by hills and watched over by a 16th century church and a medieval castle. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Continue to Craco 'Ghost Town', whose origins date back to the 7th century BC. The village was uninhabited due to a landslide in the 1970s, but is now a place of excellence in the world of cinema, advertising and fashion. Dinner and night at the hotel.

After breakfast depart for Bernalda, located on a clay plateau about 15 km from the Ionian coast. Passing through the historic centre, visit the amazing churches of San Bernardino and Madonna del Carmine.
Continue to the Masseria Cardillo farm, an extension of 300 hectares owned by the Graziadei family since 1600. Local vines grown are Aglianico, Primitivo, Fiano and Greco, as well as international vines such as Merlot, Cabernet and Sauvignon. Enjoy a culinary experience of typical local products at lunch. Day 5 - Pisticci
Visit Pisticci, a centre of medieval origin with an old town brimming with splendid sacred buildings. Marvel at the 13th century church of Saints Peter and Paul, built in the Renaissance Baroque style.
Continue to Azienda Masseria Lanzolla, an all-female business that devotes its energies to vineyards and the processing of the grapes. The grape varieties grown are: Aglianico, Cabernet Frank, Cabernet Sauvignon, Negroamaro, Primitivo, Merlot and Chardonnay white grapes.
