New Voyage Privé —
Carefully selected by our experts especially for you
I spent a few nights in Akureyri, North Iceland, and it completely blew me away. The hotel was cosy and right in town, so everything was easy to explore. At night, I was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights light up the sky— even from the harbour front. During the day, I went whale watching, explored the beautiful Myvatn area with its spectacular waterfalls and soaked in the newly expanded Forest Lagoon. You can't go to Iceland without visiting one of the baths. Next time, I hope to go at night so I can see the aurora from the lagoon. Akureyri is smaller and quieter than Reykjavík, giving it an authentic and relaxed feel. The locals are so friendly, and Akureyri is also known for its great food options. Honestly, it’s the perfect mix of adventure and chill vibes, and seeing the Northern Lights is something I’ll never forget.
