Situated approximately halfway along the coast in the Epirus region of Central Greece is the picturesque town of Preveza.

The Captain's House Boutique Hotel 4* —

Built in 1896, The Captain’s House is a historic building recently refurbished with modern touches, aiming to create an idyllic guest house experience in central Preveza. 

As you enter this enchanting boutique, you will be greeted by joyful nautical decor in a classy lounge area. Here guests can enjoy a leisurely drink and admire photos of Captain George's ships in a homage to the original owner. A sumptuous Greek breakfast is served either in the elegant dining area or the cosy inner courtyard. On the first floor, there is an ‘ondas’, a traditional Epirot seating area to indulge in some afternoon respite.

In the summer, guests can relax in the outdoor courtyards in the morning, browse the many leather-bound books of the library in the afternoons, and gather around in grand piano in the spacious Salone in the evenings. 

The Captain’s House serves as an ideal starting point for daily excursions to the scenic surroundings of Preveza, such as Louros River and the archaeological site of Nikopolis. Venture a bit further to nearby Saitan Pazar, a romantic cobblestone alley with blooming bougainvillaea and quaint cafes.

Embark on a day excursion to Ancient Nikopolis for a bit of history and culture 

The ancient city of Nikopolis, known as the Victory City, is the largest ancient city in Greece. Located just 8 kilometres from Preveza, Nikopolis was built by Roman emperor Octavian after his victory against Antony and Cleopatra of Egypt. 

These ancient ruins are vast and set against a beautiful backdrop of lush greenery and in the distance, the Amvrakikos Kolpos. Some of Nikopolis' most important sites include the impressive Roman Odeon, built in 1st century AD. Further within the ancient Byzantine walls are the Christian basilicas, adorned with elaborate mosaics and combining floral and pictorial motifs. As you continue, you may come upon the Roman Water Tower, the Theatre, and the monument of Octavian-Augustus, 31 BC. 

Travel back in time in a place of natural beauty - this landmark is certainly not to be missed.

The minimum age for driving a hire car in Greece is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year.

The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver.  The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted).

The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and in some cases a credit card or cash deposit will be required.

Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents. You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, Meet & Greet, car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services. Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.
