Your Destination —
There are only two main villages on the island- Gaios the capital, with its network of narrow streets and harbour sheltered by the picturesque islet of Agios Nikolaos, and quiet Loggos to the north, a fishing village where island life moves at a slower more relaxed pace.
The Paxos Club is perfectly situated for walking. Paths and quiet lanes lead out in all directions and a beach or fabulous picnic spot is never more than a 15 minute stroll away. It is only a 15 minute stroll down into Gaios, with its wide choice of restaurants, shops, tavernas and its bustling harbour. The hotel also provides a minibus service with a regular timetable to Gaios.
Your Hotel —
The Paxos Club Hotel, set in lovely mature gardens and surrounded by olive groves feels pleasantly remote. In fact it is barely a kilometre from the main port of Gaios, the dramatic cliffs and headlands of the west coast.
At the heart of this delightful small hotel is an original Paxiot house built out of the sun-bleached limestone rock of the island. It is now used as a restaurant where breakfast can be enjoyed in the morning.
The pool area also has an unusual jacuzzi constructed on a little island, reached by a small bridge. Adjacent and separated from the main pool by this bridge is also a children's paddling pool.

The cosy Paxos Club Hotel restaurant is nestled away into the original Paxiot stone house and oozes character. Strewn with traditional features set into the sun-bleached limestone walls, guests enjoy an authentic Greek atmosphere as they tuck into delicious Greek or International cuisine.
A fabulous breakfast is laid on for guests every morning and they can choose whether they feast in the indoor dining area or the shaded veranda overlooking the large swimming pool - the perfect start to a day.
A variety of snacks, exotic cocktails and local wine are also served at the pool bar.
Gaios is also host to a superb array of restaurants, cafes and gorgeous tavernas where you can sample some excellent Greek cuisine, Paxos specialities and International fare. Try the popular Paxos dish 'Mezdes' - appetisers made from ingredients such as octopus, salad, sardines, calamari or clams, and refresh with an 'Ouzo' - a trypical Greek aperitif.
Your Time —
Just 2 km off the tip of the southern Paxos sits the paradise islet of Anti-Paxos with its aqua-marine waters and picturesque white, sandy beaches.
This stunning islet is small and almost uninhabited; instead of olive groves there are many small vineyards looked after by Paxos families, giving the islet buckets of character.
Taste the delicious wine in one of the cute tavernas and find ultimate relaxation on those magnificent beaches. Easily accessible by boat departing from Gaios, the trip only takes 15 minutes and the boats run frequently.
