Today the only permanent inhabitants of the fortress are wild deer, introduced to the village in 1970 from Rhodes. There are plenty of charming shops to browse - look out for local honey, delicious feta cheese, great locally produced wines and the freshest seafood.

Neilson Portomyrina Palace Beach Club is situated in a beautiful bay on the unspoilt Greek island of Lemnos in the northeast Aegean Sea. From the bay, the views towards Mount Athos on the Greek mainland are beautiful and most evenings you will be treated to the most spectacular sunsets over the pool and bar area.
The spacious, flat layout, 50-metre swimming pool, lovely spa and short airport transfer make it a popular choice with everybody, especially families. It’s a great choice for all activities, in particular dingy sailing and mountain biking.
Preserved within the grounds are the archaeological ruins of the ‘Temple of Artemis’. Discovered during the construction of the hotel and dated back to the Hellenistic period, when Greek civilization spread right across the Middle East. It is a unique and interesting addition to Portomyrina Palace Beach Club.

Club Board
Consists of a buffet style daily breakfast, daily lunch and four evening meals each week. On non-inclusive evenings, you are free to explore the local restaurants or you may prefer to stay at the club and enjoy a bar snack or bistro evening at the Portomyrina Palace's restaurant or bar.
Breakfast - is served from 8am to 10am. There is a choice of fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, cereals, freshly made bread, local cheeses and preserves, as well as a variety of hot options cooked to order, such as pancakes and omelettes. If you fancy a lie-in, a continental style breakfast of tea, coffee, juice and pastries will still be available until 11am.
Evening Meal - Buffet style evening meals with a waiter service for drinks are available from 7pm to 9pm.
Mineral water, plus tea and coffee are included with all meals, all other drinks are payable locally using a tab system so you don't have to worry about carrying cash around. You can either settle your bill every few days or leave it until the end of your holiday.
