Half an hour away by car from the city of Ioannina, the hotel is the appropriate starting point for a visit to the Castle, the archaeological Museum and the old city of Ioannina, the ancient theatre of Dodoni and the beautiful Byzantine churches of the area.

Salvia Restaurant
"Salvia" is an indigenous herb of the Zagori area which is used with great care along with other local ingredients in the kitchen to prepare local specialties daily.
The meat is from free range stock of the area, Zagori hunters provide the wild boar, the mushrooms and wild greens in the salads are collected from the mountain sides of Ipirus, cheese is bought from local small farm producers and the dough for the famous Zagori pies is kneaded and opened by hand. The cellar is filled with a wide variety of fine Greek wines.
Refreshing drinks, cocktails and light snacks are served in the lounge by the fireplace as well as on the terrace with an exquisite view of the surrounding mountains.

The local area offers a huge range of activities:
Rafting-Canoe-Kayak
Experienced rafting instructors will show you the best way to enjoy Voidomatis, travel along the river with some of the clearest waters in South Europe. You can also cross the Vikos Gorge by following Voidomatis River in an attractive one and a half hour long walk. Alternatively you can ask for the more demanding Aoos River.
Horse Riding
Children and adults alike can enjoy a relaxing ride on Pindos horses, on a beautifully shaded path along Voidomatis River. The appropriate route for the ride is organized by the hotel at your preferred time.
Mountain Biking
The Zagori forests and the Pedina plateau are ideal places for a mountain bike excursion. Visit this impressive area while giving your body energising exercise. The hotel can organize tours with or without a guide.
Jeep Safari
In a 4x4 off-road vehicle you will visit the most impressive dirt road routes in the mountainous regions of Konitsa and North Epirusand the steep mass of mountain Grammos. Taking unpaved roads you will reach the alpic lake “Arenes” at an altitude of1730 meters among mountain peaks and oak trees.
Hiking
Zagor ohoria is one of the best areas in Europe for walking and hiking activities. There are walking and hiking trails which vary from an easy walk along the riverside to demanding mountaineering ascends. Aristi Mountain Resort will assist you in choosing the most appropriate hike.
Zagori Excursions
If you prefer not to drive yourself, you may ask for a guided car tour through the most beautiful of the Zagorohoria villages. You will have the opportunity of visiting the spectacular stone bridges and the impressive Byzantine churches of the Zagori area.
Hang Gliding
Your day starts with a drive to the nearby village Asprangeli. Take off from the cliff takes place there. Touch down at the flat location Vrissi Pasha . Duration of the flight is approximately half hour and you have the chance of admiring the view, as your trainer co-pilot handles the glider.
Canyoning
A sport suitable for everyone, provided you are not afraid of heights! Depending on your experience/ability the hotel will select the appropriate canyon in the area. The Vradeto Canyon has a crossing time between 4 and 6 hours, depending on the number of participants.

Aristi Mountain Resort is approximately a 3.5 hour drive from Thessaloniki, where our flights are directed to. If you wish to book your own flights, you can also fly to Preveza, which is around 2.5 hours drive from the hotel.
