Istron Bay Hotel is ideally situated in a privileged setting at Istron Village nearby Agios Nikolaos. Agios Nikolaos is a glorious mixture of art, leisure and the hustle and bustle of a place brimming with excitement. A medium-sized town with several distinct waterfronts, take a relaxing stroll next to the waters and you will quickly feel familiar with the place.

The town has three faces to the sea: the Lake and port, Kitroplatia beach and the Marina. Each place has unique features, and is surrounded by charming cafes and restaurants, becoming an ideal gathering place for locals and tourists alike.

Voulisma, or Golden Beach, is just next to the hotel, providing the perfect place to unwind with its crystal clear waters opening out to the wider Mirabello Bay.

If you want an exciting day drip, why not take a boat to Spinalonga Island, historically known as the Leper Island, where lepers from Crete were quarantined until 1957. It also features many ruined buildings, and has a history of fierce battles, making it one of the most popular tourist sites in Crete.

Your Board Basis —

This offer is based on a half board stay (breakfast and evening meal served in the main restaurant - excluding drinks).

There are four different restaurants to choose from at the Istron Bay, each offering both traditional Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine, creating inspiring authentic flavours and unique combinations. The manager, who is also the chef, is responsible for the taste and quality of the food, making sure each plate is carefully considered for your tastebuds. Inquisitive guests have the opportunity to learn all about Cretan cuisine, including the herbs, olive oil and other national ingredients and sources used.

There are also two bars for you to enjoy a vibrant drink inside or by the pool.

Your Time —

Aside from the gorgeous pool perched on the edge of the bay, there are other leisure activities to enjoy during your stay. Guests have the option to play tennis on the hotel tennis courts from the early morning till late evening under floodlights. Tennis lessons are also available, for those who wish to hone their skills.

Why not take a cooking course to learn all the local recipes, so you can take more than just memories of your Cretan gastronomy experiences home with you. You will be able to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs in the market, and be able to prepare the dishes under the guidance of the master chef in a relaxed atmosphere. When the dishes are ready, guests can get together to socialise and enjoy the variety of flavours they have just created.

Your Journey —

Flights: The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers: Return private transfers are included. The transfer distance (from Heraklion airport) is approximately 72km.

Meet & Greet —

If you are driving to the airport in the UK, and book our package including flights, you may wish to add our 'Meet and Greet' service. Take the hassle out of airport parking and have an official representative take your car on arrival, and it will be waiting for you on your return.

This can be added at the next stage of booking process where available.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers -

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct.  If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents.  You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, 'Meet & Greet', car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services.  Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your ‘Safe Senders’ list or check your ‘Junk mail’ regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
