The Editor Athens Hotel 4* —
Created with deep respect for its heritage, The Editor Athens Hotel 4*, in the heart of Athens, echoes the soul of a place where stories were born, written and printed. This building used to be a well-known newspaper printing house (Athlitiki Ixo), and the concept of the hotel shows it very well.
Founded in 1945, Athlitiki Ixo was one of the most widely read newspapers in Greece, covering the latest sports news. The first issue was published on October 1, 1945, while after 62 consecutive years, the press turned off its engines in April 2007. Step through the doors of The Editor 4* and discover an Athenian hideaway, where every detail intertwines past and present.

Your Destination —
It was Athens that brought the world drama, history, poetry, and philosophy, and a visit to this ancient city offers no end of attractions. Indeed, the towering columns of the 2,000-year-old Parthenon still dominate the city skyline, a homage to the goddess Athena. No visit to the city would be complete without walking up to the Acropolis and admiring its structures: aside from the Parthenon, you can see the Erechtheion, a temple dedicated to Athena and Poseidon, and the Propylaea, the ancient gateway to the hill citadel.
Walking through the city is the best way to discover its history. In the shadow of the Acropolis, Plaka is a particularly interesting neighbourhood with a village feel, full of traditional Greek taverns, churches, and smaller museums - as well as the Cine Paris, a charming outdoor cinema with a stunning view of the Acropolis. Elsewhere, don't miss the famous changing of the guards in Constitution Square every hour on the hour.
