Nuremberg is a hidden-gem, often over-shadowed by larger cities, however there is plenty this city has to offer from impressive architecture, craft beers, delicious gastronomy and fascinating museums. Although beautiful at any time of year, in the run up to Christmas, the town comes alive with the wonderful world-famous Christmas market offering a fantastic festive atmosphere. Children will love the gingerbread making classes - a treat local to the area!
Make sure to bring a big appetite with you as the delicious cuisine includes favourites such as currywurst, apple strudel and schnitzel. The purity laws in place for beer ensures it is free from additives and is definitely a must try! We recommend the lager Märzen that is popular at Munich Oktoberfest.
