We Love —
- Sitting to watch full-scale historical scenes unfold, with horses charging past, wooden ships gliding across the water, and bursts of fire and smoke filling the arena.
- Hearing live music, clashing swords, and the distant rumble of battle carrying across the park as each spectacular show begins and ends.
- Wandering through villages where craftsmen work at their benches, the smell of fresh bread, roasting meat, and herbs drifting from open kitchens, while performers move through the streets in character.

Puy du Fou: A unique showpark —
Puy du Fou isn’t a theme park in the usual sense. It is a vast, open‑air historical theatre in the French countryside, where entire periods of history are brought to life on a scale that feels cinematic. Voted the best theme park in the world, it’s a place where stories move beyond the stage and into every corner of the park.
Across 100 acres of nature, purpose‑built arenas, villages, forests and lakes become the backdrop for shows that run all day: 20 breathtaking shows take you from Ancient Rome’s chariot races to Viking raids and musketeers duelling at sunset. The park is also home to 2000 animals; horses, falcons, dogs and farm animals add to the Puy du Fou experience, and are looked after with daily veterinary care, custom diets and comfortable homes.
Between the shows, wander tree‑lined paths, stop for local food, and let centuries slide past in a single day. Move at your own pace through 4 period villages, listening to live music, craftsmen at work and the clatter of hooves in the distance. As night falls, head to an evening show that ties light, music and live performance together in an unforgettable spectacle.
