The Col de Vars (2019 meters) has been a historic step of the Route des Grandes Alpes since 1911, scaled 33 times by the riders of the Tour de France.
At the northern foot of the Col de Vars, the town of Guillestre is the crossroads of the high valleys of the Alps. A few steps away stands the remarkable fortress of Mont-Dauphin built from scratch by Vauban in the XVIII century and now listed as Unesco World Heritage site. It is the archetypal mountain stronghold, with its arsenal, two powder magazines, barracks, ramparts and its unfinished church. An amazing architectural classic style in local pink marble that animates the summer concerts and exhibitions of craftsmen.

The design of the rooms and bathrooms of Névalhaia was guided by three principles. Open fully to the beautiful view of the slopes, the larch forest and mountain. Ensure the comfort and the tranquillity with particular care for the soundproofing, and creating a warm atmosphere through the design.
The Deluxe Rooms offer all the charms of the Superior Room, as well as the added benefit of a working fireplace, and stunning views from the bow window in your bathroom.

This offer is based on a bed and breakfast stay.
Breakfast is prepared according to your wishes and includes local smoked trout, bread, the best local bakery, jams, pastries, fresh fruit salad or juice, cereal, dairy products, cheese and cold cuts.
The hotel does not serve dinner in the summer months, however there delicious dining options in Vars, so do explore to find restaurants and bars.
Your Time —
The relaxation area of the 4-star Névalhaia Le Chalet boasts a beautiful view of the mountains.
