If you are still eager to discover more Medieval history, visit the small village of La Colle sur Loup, a typical Provencal village. Visit the local craftsmen and antiquitarians near the Church of Saint Jaques or go to the Fete des Metiers d'Antan, one of many cultural and musical events in the area that you are free to enjoy all summer long.
If medieval villages are not on your list of priorities, why not venture down to the seafront? The famed town of Nice is only approximately 15km from the hotel where you can lay on the beach or enjoy a walk down the Promenade des Anglais. Even though the famed Festival de Cannes will be over, there is no reason not the visit the glamorous town of Cannes. Also, only a short drive from the hotel, stroll along the Promenade de la Croisette and sample the fresh local cuisine and maybe even treat yourself at the designer boutiques along the way!
And all this is easily accessible if you choose to add car hire!
