« Issus d'une famille d'agriculteurs-viticulteurs, les Karcher ont le vin dans le sang depuis 1590. Domaine familial créé en 1956 par Robert Karcher, c’est Georges – son fils aîné qui a repris l’activité en 1991 avec son épouse Nathalie. Leurs jumeaux – Pierre et Gilles représentent la 3ème génération de cette lignée familiale et ont repris le flambeau depuis 2018. Pratiquant une viticulture durable puisque conscients et touchés par les changements climatiques qui s'opèrent tout autour de nous ; nous avons entamé en 2018 une conversion vers l’Agriculture Biologique et serons certifié fin juillet 2021. Nos 11 hectares de vignes sont situés sur la Harth : lieu-dit au Nord-Ouest de Colmar et sur le Grand Cru Schlossberg, quant à lui situé à Kientzheim. Insolite, nous nous situons dans le cœur historique de Colmar et plus particulièrement dans l'ancien quartier des paysans. Nous habitons une ancienne ferme datant de 1602. Nos caves historiques sont les plus vieilles encore en activité de toute la ville et abritent des tonneaux de chêne – des « foudres » dont certains ont un âge supérieur à 100 ans. Nous proposons des vins sur les AOC Alsace, AOC Alsace Grand Cru et AOC Crémant d’Alsace. »
