Château-Chalon is an Old medieval village perched on a rocky outcrop, it is considered to be the stronghold of yellow wine. There are beautiful lookouts and a multitude of hiking trails departures.
Lake Chalain
This lake is the largest natural lake in the Jura. Enter the field (paying in summer, about 4 €), beach, pedal boat, hiking trails, shops and beautiful views from the village of Fontenu.
Hérisson waterfalls
Set in a secluded area surrounded by cliffs, the Hérisson River, at a height of 805 meters, descends in a series of 31 jumps and 7 waterfalls before crossing the Val and Chambly lakes. A pedestrian course arranged (7.5 km round trip, 255 m altitude difference or 2h50).

The chateau has a gourmet restaurant, where you can eat under the ancestral vaults of the Salon of the Marquis of Germigney or in the old Orangerie bathed in light. Chef Pierre Basso Moro offers a wonderful range of local products and imported specialities to offer you an inventive and generous palate. You can savor seasonal cuisine, in a refined setting. And on sunny days, it's on the terrace, between plane trees and hydrangeas, that you can enjoy your meal.
The Château de Germigney 4 * also puts at your disposal the Bistrot Port-Lesney. In typical bistro style, you can enjoy friendly atmosphere, red and white checkered tablecloths, chalk menus on large slates, a staff in red shirt and black apron and a terrace lit by happy garlands.
