7-Night Trip Itinerary —
Arrive ready to begin the trip at Tontouta airport. You will receive a transfer by bus to Noumea (about 1 hour) and arrive at the centrally located Hotel Le Lagon. The rest of the evening will be yours to enjoy. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Noumea
Breakfast at the hotel. You will have a free day to explore the coastal capital of Noumea. Soak in the sunshine and enjoy the bright colours that surround you. Visit The Centre of Culturel Tjibaou to learn all about the Kanak culture, or, dine at a bistro and sample local wines as you admire this classy capital. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart in the morning for a day trip to the Amedee Island. Located very close to Noumea itself, on Amedee Island you can experience crystal clear waters and a peaceful sandy beach. In just 40 minutes aboard one of our Mary D ships, you will become immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the South Pacific with coconut palms, white sandy beaches galore, and an unparalleled welcome.
Swim among the turtles, relax on the beach, or, send postcards from the Lighthouse Post Amédée, the smallest post office in the world with its very own postmark titled "Phare Amédée". We will then head to the airport and take a flight to the Isle of Pines. Overnight at the hotel on the Isle of Pines.
Breakfast at the hotel. Take advantage of three free days to discover this delightful island at your own pace. It's a unique stopover just waiting to be explored, with landscapes that will take your breath away. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Isle of Pines / Nouméa
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by bus from Magenta Domestic Airport to Le Lagon Hotel. Overnight in Nouméa.
Day 8: Nouméa / UK
Bus transfer from Le Lagon Hotel to Tontouta International Airport. Return to the UK.
14-Night Trip Itinerary —
Arrive at Tontouta airport. You will receive a bus transfer to Noumea and arrive at the four-star Royal Beach Resort and Spa. The rest of the evening will be yours to enjoy. Overnight at the Royal Beach Resort & Spa.
Day 2: Noumea
Breakfast at the hotel. We take the local train "Chu Tchou" for a unique way to see the city. Free time for the rest of the day. Take this opportunity to explore this coastal city at your own pace. Overnight in Nouméa.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart in the morning for a day trip to the Amedee Island. Located very close to Noumea itself, on Amedee Island you can experience crystal clear waters and a peaceful sandy beach. Breakfast at the Nouméa hotel. In the morning you will take a bus transfer from your hotel to the Noumea-Magenta Airport. Fly to Ouvéa. Upon arrival at the Ouvéa Airport, a minibus will transport you to the charming Hotel Le Paradis d'Ouvéa.
Day 5: Ouvéa
Breakfast at the hotel. No excursions are planned today. Instead, make the most of this opportunity and discover the island independently.
The northernmost of the Loyalty Islands, Ouvea is bordered on the west by a wide lagoon and a 25 km beach. It has been nicknamed "the island closest to Paradise" due to its unrivalled lifestyle. Heavenly landscapes are devoid of pollution and the inhabitants here live from local fishing, coconut oil cultivation, and tourism. From north to south, there is only one road along the coast meaning that the majority of Ouvea is noise and traffic free. Overnight at Ouvéa.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, depart Hotel Le Paradis d'Ouvéa and take a minibus to Ouvéa Airport. On arrival at Lifou Airport: you will receive a rental car (type Clio 3 or 4, unlimited mileage - third party insurance included). You can reach your hotel in Lifou by car, where you will spend the night.
Days 7 and 8: Lifou
Begin your day with a wholesome buffet breakfast at the hotel. Take advantage of your rental car and discover Lifou, the largest of the Loyalty Islands. Do not miss the Vanilla House, Peng Beach, Chateaubriand Bay, Luengöni Cave, and the magnificent cliffs of Xodre and Jokin.
Day 9: Lifou / Mare Island
Return your rental car at Lifou Airport to fly to Mare Island. Upon arrival at Maré Airport: Transfer by minibus to the Hotel Le Nengone Village. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Mare Island
Breakfast at the hotel. You will have plenty of free time to stroll along the beaches and relax by the hotel's outdoor pool. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the Maré Hotel. Transfer by minibus from Hotel Le Nengone to Maré Airport. Upon arrival at the Isle of Pines Aiport, you will hop on a transfer by minibus to the four-star Oure Tera Beach Resort Hotel.
Days 12 and 13: Isle of Pines
Breakfast at the hotel. Take advantage of two free days to discover this delightful island at your own pace. It's a unique stopover just waiting to be explored, with landscapes that will take your breath away. Night at the hotel.
Day 14: Isle of Pines / Nouméa
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by minibus from the Hotel Oure Tera to the Isle of Pines Airport. Upon arrival in Noumea, you will be transferred by bus to the Royal Castle Resort & Spa. Overnight in Nouméa.
Day 15: Nouméa / UK
Transfer by bus from Nouméa to Tontouta International Airport. Return to the UK.
19-Night Trip Itinerary —
Upon arrival at the airport, you will receive a bus transfer to your hotel in Nouméa. Overnight at Hotel le Lagon.
Days 2 and 3: Nouméa
In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast. Located 100m from the beach of Anse Vata and a few steps from shops and restaurants, your hotel welcomes you with a warm, family atmosphere. It offers a swimming pool, a spa pool, a sauna, a gym and a spa. You will also enjoy an excursion to the island Amédée where roundtrip transfers and lunch are included.
Day 4: Noumea / Bourail
After having breakfast, a rental car will be delivered to the hotel at 9:30 am. Drive to Bourail at the wheel of your rental car and discover the splendour of the surrounding landscapes. Overnight at the Poe Hotel.
Breakfast and discovery of the surroundings. The Lagoon of Poe Beach, with its 17 km of white sand, is considered the most beautiful of the Grande Terre. The variety of fish and the beautiful colour of the lagoon makes it a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. Overnight at the Poe Hotel.
Day 6: Bourail / Kone
Have breakfast and drive towards Kone. Kone is the capital of the North Province and is the starting point of the Kone-Tiwaka Road that connects the West Coast to the East Coast. Close to the town of Voh, famous for its "Heart" (heart-shaped mangrove formation) immortalised by photographer Yan Artus-Bertrand.
Day 7: Kone / Poum
Boost your energy with your breakfast buffet and hop in your car to drive to Poum.
Day 8: Poum
Poum is located at the extreme north of the mainland and offers beautiful landscapes where you can cross wild horses. Join Koumac to take the crossroad to reach the east coast. You will pass the Amos Pass which offers spectacular views of the lagoon and the coral reef.
Day 9: Poum / Hienghene
Enjoy breakfast and then drive to Hienghène. Overnight at Le Koulnoue Village hotel in a Premium Bungalow.
Day 10: Hienghene
Discover Hienghene. This town is one of the most popular places for tourists in New Caledonia. Renowned for its black limestone cliffs. From the Belvedere, south of the village, the view is breathtaking!
Day 11: Hienghene / Poindimé
Leave Hienghene and head towards Poindimié located about 1 hour away, and considered the capital of the East Coast. Enjoy the lush vegetation of the East Coast, its mountains and white sand beaches.
Day 12: Poindimié / Sarraméa
Take the road to Sarraméa. On the way, admire the stunning surrounding landscapes.
Day 13: Sarraméa
Discover the surroundings - the primary goal of this provincial park is to protect dense forest ecosystems with exceptional biodiversity and endemism. The park is also home to many species of endemic birds including the cagou, the notou, the New Caledonian warbler, the green pigeon. Open every day except Tuesday.
Day 14: Sarramea / Lifou
Return to Noumea and return the rental car to the Magenta Aerodrome. You will then take an internal flight to the island of Lifou. On arrival at Lifou aerodrome, get your Clio 3 and 4 / Peugeot 308 rental car or similar. Your car rental includes unlimited mileage and third-party insurance.
Ideally located on the beautiful beach of Chateaubriand, Drehu Village welcomes you in a warm environment and offers comfortable bungalows. During your stay on the island of Lifou, do not miss Vanille's house, the beach of Peng, the cliffs of Xodre and Jokin or the Chapel Notre Dame de Lourdes.
Day 17: Lifou / Isle of Pines
Return of the rental car to Lifou Airfield. You will then take two internal flights. The first will take you to Nouméa airport and the 2nd to the Isle of Pines. Arrival at the airport of the Isle of Pines, a transfer will be waiting to take you to the hotel.
Your hotel is ideally located in the bay of Kanumera, on a beautiful white sand beach. The hotel is nestled in a coconut grove, surrounded by vegetation.
Day 19: Isle of Pines / Noumea
A transfer will bring you to the airport of the island to take your flight back to Noumea. A bus will take you to your hotel.
Day 20: Noumea / UK
After a delicious breakfast, you will receive a bus transfer to Nouméa International Airport to catch your return flight.
