New Voyage Privé —
Carefully selected by our experts especially for you
La Maison Douce Époque 5* is a charming hotel with typical Norman architecture that I had the good fortune to discover. Perched on Mont Canisy, it offers an incredible view of the entire Côte Fleurie and its beaches, and on a clear day, you can even make out the English coastline on the horizon. The hotel is located very close to Deauville but in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature.

Normandy —
Romantic and storied, Normandy is a land of sweeping coastlines, rolling countryside, and poignant history. This northwestern gem of France blends natural beauty with deep-rooted heritage, from the D-Day beaches to medieval towns and seaside splendour.
Must-sees:
- Mont-Saint-Michel: A dramatic abbey rising from the sea, this island sanctuary is one of France’s most iconic sights.
- D-Day Beaches & Caen Memorial: Walk along Omaha and Utah Beaches, then explore the Peace Memorial in Caen to honour the region’s wartime legacy.
- Etretat Cliffs: Towering chalk cliffs sculpted by the sea, offering breathtaking coastal views and dramatic photo opportunities.
- Honfleur & Deauville: Stroll the colourful harbour of Honfleur or bask on Deauville’s sandy beach, known for its Belle Époque glamour.
- Rouen: A city of half-timbered houses and Gothic spires, where Joan of Arc met her fate and history lingers in every street.
Culinary culture:
Normandy is a gourmet’s delight, famed for creamy Camembert, crisp ciders, and apple-infused Calvados brandy. Feast on moules marinières by the sea, try tarte Tatin in a cosy café, and sample fresh oysters in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, where land and sea combine in every bite.
Dive deeper:
Cycle through the green patchwork of the Pays d’Auge, explore hidden chapels and Norman manors, or cruise along the River Seine. In Cabourg or Trouville, unwind with a spa by the sea. Take time to explore the region’s craft markets and learn about traditional cheesemaking or cider-pressing.
Good to know:
Best visited from May to September for mild weather and blooming countryside. Easily reached by train or car from Paris. While French is spoken throughout, the warm local welcome transcends language.
