La Plagne Tarentaise —
La Plagne Tarentaise, in the French Alps, is a year-round mountain playground where snow-covered peaks give way to lush summer pastures. Part of the vast Paradiski area, it offers a blend of world-class skiing, alpine charm and panoramic views of Mont Blanc. Whether under a blanket of snow or bathed in summer light, La Plagne combines sport, nature and authentic Savoyard culture.
Must-sees:
- Paradiski Ski Area: Linked with Les Arcs, this is one of the largest ski domains in the world, with pistes for all levels and guaranteed snow in winter.
- Belle Plagne: A high-altitude village with traditional chalet architecture, lively après-ski and direct slope access.

Culinary culture:
Savoie’s gastronomy is made for the mountains. Savour classics such as fondue, raclette or tartiflette, best paired with local white wines from Apremont or Roussette. For a sweet touch, blueberry tarts and bugnes (Savoyard fritters) are regional favourites.
Dive deeper:
In winter, La Plagne is all about skiing, snowboarding and even bobsleigh on the Olympic track. Summer reveals a different landscape, with alpine hiking, paragliding, climbing and mountain biking through pine forests and wildflower meadows. Scenic lakes and hidden trails also showcase the authentic beauty of the Tarentaise valley, while baroque chapels and traditional hamlets highlight the region’s heritage.
