About Serre Chevalier
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Écrins National Park, Serre Chevalier is one of Europe’s most extensive and sun-drenched ski domains, stretching across 250 kilometres of slopes and enjoying over 300 days of sunshine each year. The resort links the historic town of Briançon with the charming alpine villages of Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Monêtier-les-Bains, each offering its own distinct character and style.
With altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 2,800 metres, Serre Chevalier caters to every level of skier. Beginners will find gentle, wide runs perfect for building confidence, while intermediates can explore long, scenic descents winding through snow-dusted forests. Experts can tackle thrilling black runs, off-piste adventures and high-altitude challenges near the Yret and Cucumelle sectors. The modern lift system makes it easy to explore the entire valley in a single day.
After a day on the slopes, the après-ski scene is as inviting as the mountains themselves. Relax in cosy mountain bars, enjoy local cuisine in traditional chalets, or unwind in Les Grands Bains du Monêtier, one of the largest natural thermal spas in the Alps. Here, you can soak in naturally warm, mineral-rich waters while gazing at snow-covered peaks - a truly unique way to experience the serenity of the French Alps.
