Visitors can enjoy seamless access to the world-class Three Valleys ski area via efficient gondola lifts that connect Le Praz to the slopes. The village boasts a vibrant après-ski scene with gourmet restaurants and cosy bars, perfect for winding down after a day on the pistes. Whether you're exploring the picturesque walking trails or savouring Savoyard delicacies, Courchevel Le Praz promises a quintessential mountain escape.

  • Exploring the picturesque village square, home to historic chalets and quaint boutiques.
  • Taking the cable car up to Courchevel 1850 for après-ski dining and luxury shopping.
  • Visiting the Olympic ski jump, a fascinating relic from the 1992 Winter Games.

Culinary culture

Culinary culture here reflects traditional Savoyard flavours - think hearty mountain fare such as tartiflette, raclette, and fondue, made from local cheeses and fresh alpine produce. Cosy restaurants and chalets offer rustic dining experiences, perfect after a day on the slopes, while a handful of refined eateries blend classic French cuisine with modern twists.

Dive deeper

For those looking to dive deeper, Le Praz hosts an annual village festival celebrating alpine traditions, with folk music, local crafts, and storytelling that reveal the rich heritage behind the resort’s polished ski scene. The area’s wooden chalets and narrow lanes provide a glimpse into mountain life as it has been lived for centuries.

Good to know:

The currency is the euro, and the best time to visit for skiing is December through April. Le Praz is easily reachable by shuttle from Geneva airport, with excellent public transport linking it to the broader Courchevel network.
