Discovery Day around the Lavender Fields and the Gorges du Verdon
This tour will take you to the heart of the Provence region where you can soak up the scents and the atmosphere of the region. See wild lavender fields stretching as far as the eye can see, and visit the town of Sault, also known as the 'Lavender Capital'.
In the afternoon, you'll head to the hilltop villages of Monnieux, Saint Saturnin-les-Apt and Saignon. Perched high in the valley, their exceptional locations provide stunning panoramic views of the Provencal backcountry! The route back to Aix en Provence will take you through an area known as Le Plateau de Claparèdes, giving you a final chance to admire the magnificent lavender fields before arriving back in the city.

Aix-en-Provence is about 25 minutes from Marseille-Provence Airport and easily reached by train from Paris in just over three hours. The best time to visit is from April to October, when the light is golden and the markets overflow with lavender, olives and fresh produce.
