Arrival in Helsinki according to your own itinerary. The Finnish capital is a modern cultural city, which was is a meeting point between Eastern and Western Europe and has a character quite different from the Scandinavian capitals. The city manages to retain a small-town feel, even though Greater Helsinki region has a population of over 1.3 million. Shared transfer from the airport to your four-star accommodation in Helsinki.

After a Scandinavian breakfast, you will spend this day at your own leisure in Helsinki, before departing in the evening with an overnight train to Rovaniemi. Sights in Helsinki include the historical centre, the Senate Square, the Parliament building, the Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church) and more. Make sure to visit one of the popular coffee shops before you are picked up by your transfer to catch the train to Rovaniemi. You will have a private compartment on board (accommodation only - meals not included on the train).
In the late morning you will arrive in Rovaniemi, the hometown of Santa Claus, and a transfer will pick you up and bring you to the Lapland Chalet Hotels Ounaasvaara, where you will spend the next three arctic summer nights and it never gets completely dark during this time.Lapland Hotel Ounasvaara Chalets is located by the beautiful Kemijoki-river, next to Ounasvaara Ski Centre and Golfpark, and is only a 5-minute drive away from the city centre. Day 5: Rovaniemi, day at leisure

Day 6: Departure from Rovaniemi
Today it is time to say good-bye to Finnish Lapland. After breakfast, your transfer will take you to Rovaniemi airport to catch your flight.

Embark on an excursion filled with trekking, berry picking, fishing, and the silence of clean Lappish nature. Our guide will meet you at the meeting point and after receiving proper clothing for the trip, head by car to the forest area close to Rovaniemi Centre. Our experienced guide leads us to the world of berries and mushrooms; depending of the season you will be picking cloudberries, blueberries, lingonberries, or cranberries. After picking this Lappish superfood it is time to relax and have a well-earned break by an open fire and prepare traditional pancakes. Before heading back to city, you will try your luck in fishing while enjoying the silence of nature.

Floating Under the Northern Sky (September only - Tuesdays and Thursdays)
This unique evening experience gives you the chance to search for the Northern lights while floating in a dry suit in a private lake 30 minutes drive from Rovaniemi. Dry floating suits are worn over your clothing and cover you from head to toe keeping you completely dry and warm as you take turns to float in the still, peaceful water under the moonlight.

Your evening begins with a restful cruise on a traditional long and open riverboat along River Kemijoki, which is surrounded by beautiful summer scenery. A local-style evening meal will be prepared by your guide in the middle of nature. Before midnight, you’ll be driven to the top of Ounasvaara Fell to admire the fascinating midnight sun and the tranquil nature. Then, raise a toast for the magical feeling of the white nights of Lapland with a glass of sparkling wine. You will be escorted back to your hotel after the program.

Aurora Borealis Adventure ( September Only - Wednesdays and Fridays)
After stepping out of the car in the middle of nowhere, walk down to a river and admire the peaceful nature. You will reach the best spot to see the northern sky, but be patient - the aurora loves playing hide-and-seek and we never know if or when it will show up! While you wait, you will fry sausages surrounded by the great aroma of the fire for a truly Finnish experience.
